The school year is coming to a close in the Natural State. However, spring and summer practices are starting to heat up in football. Meanwhile, the recruiting news is not slowing down one bit as we approach June. Here are several prospects making recruiting headlines this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='685765' first='Tyler' last='Hampton']-Quarterback-Sylvan Hills-6'1” 200-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='685765' first='Tyler' last='Hampton'] is a signal caller who has good command of the pocket. Hampton makes good decisions with the football and can fit the ball into some tight coverages. He is not afraid to extend the play. Hampton does a good job of getting out of the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield. Over the past few weeks, Hampton has had the opportunity to take visits to Arkansas Tech as well as Southeast Missouri State. He is a player to watch over the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='338065' first='Creed' last='Vega']-Quarterback-Dardanelle-6'1” 218-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='338065' first='Creed' last='Vega'] is one of the most versatile prospects in the class of 2026. He is capable of playing multiple positions on the field. On the offensive side of the ball, Vega is a quarterback who can hurt opposing defenses in a variety of ways. He uses his legs to pick up yards on the ground and extend drives. Meanwhile, he has the accuracy to keep opposing defenses honest when it comes to throwing the football. On the defensive side of the ball, he is a linebacker who has a nose for the football. Vega earned a scholarship offer from the Army Black Knights this week. He is a player to watch out for this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1195384' first='Jakore' last='Smith']-Linebacker-Bryant-6'1” 195-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1195384' first='Jakore' last='Smith'] defeats blocks using a combination of speed and power. He can completely disrupt the opposing offensive backfield on a regular basis. Meanwhile, he has the speed to drop back into pass coverage. He gets sideline to sideline and does not give up on a play. Earlier in the week, Smith committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of months for the Hornets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1545391' first='Kaegan' last='Jones'] Running Back-Pottsville-5'9” 175-Pounds-2026

The Pottsville running back excels at making opposing defenders miss tackles. Jones is a back capable of running between the tackles or cutting the run down the sideline. Meanwhile, he is also effective when lined up at the wide receiver position. Jones has been an invited for an official visit to Hendrix College. He is a prospect who I expect to have a big 2025 football season for Pottsville.

[player_tooltip player_id='370546' first='Brayden' last='Erby']-Defensive Line-Nashville-6'1” 255-Pounds-2026

The Nashville Scrappers always have talented prospects on both sides of the ball who have the ability to play at the next level. He uses his speed to get into the offensive backfield. Erby does a good job shedding blocks and getting to the ball carrier. Erby has the quickness to put pressure on the opposing quarterback. However, he has the versatility to play all along the defensive front for the Scrappers. Erby earned a scholarship offer from Lincoln University earlier in the week. He is a player to watch this summer.
