An unranked 2028 out of Osbourn, a young man Ive become somewhat familiar with after watching him tear through our DMV 7v7 back in early April. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Question I Want Answered:</strong> What is [player_tooltip player_id='1422269' first='Anthony' last='Jackson']'s recruiting ceiling?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Quite the impressive freshman campaign put forth by Jackson. 1,300+ total yards from scrimmage, 95% of his yard accumulation coming through the air. 15 total touchdowns to boot. Watching his tape, seeing some three-level capabilities displayed, there's a lot to be excited about. Once it's time to update the PRZ 2028 rankings, [player_tooltip player_id='1422269' first='Anthony' last='Jackson'] will likely place high among our lists. That being said, what's his recruiting ceiling? Jackson shouldn't worry about this, as he has ample time to prove to any recruiter that he's worth the investment, yet as an evaluator, I'll be present to watch Jackson closely. I'll be monitoring his mechanics, I'll be interested in his true H/W. I'll be monitoring his athletic profile during the combine portion of this event. Jackson has proved arm talent and accuracy to me after watching him throw dots at our DMV event. I have dialed back my presence with Virginia rankings, so I'm not as in-tune with underclassman in the state as I was this time last year. [player_tooltip player_id='1635823' first='Armaan' last='Gill'] will come with a completely blank slate on my clipboard. Fresh/blank evaluations often birth better accuracy. There are no previous biases that could derail me from what my eyes are showing me. What's Gill's arm capacity like? Can he sling the ball around effortlessly? What are the early mechs looking like? True H/W? A freshman out of West Springfield HS. Like the line above mentions, Owens provides WSHS with a blend of athleticism and deep-ball range. There is plenty to be worked on, of course, yet Owens is comfortable enough to test DBs deep in-game, while also providing the offense with movement skills to keep defenses guessing. Will this dual athlete show off his multifaceted skills at our event? Can Owens test better than most QBs present, or will he place out as average among the group? Can he maintain accuracy on the run like he does on tape in a setting that evaluates him throwing to wideouts he has little to no chemistry with? Ranked two spots outside the Top 100, ranked two spots away from being named a Top 10 QB in his class, all of this before I watched him work at two separate PRZ 7v7 events. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Question I Want Answered:</strong> What will it take for schools to pull the trigger on Martin?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm emphatic when I say Martin himself shouldn't burden the above question. I stress that prospects handle what they can handle, and from what I know, Martin does just that. Yet as an evaluator, I want to have a clearly answer to the question I presented above. Martin graded out as an FCS-caliber passer, a good grade from myself considering how harsh I can be with QBs. 4.2 GPA is going to have A ton of Northeast FCS programs flocking. 6'0, 175 pounds. Measurables will play a huge factor in attempting to decide Martin's recruiting ceiling/floor. A producer as an underclassman at Oakton, I'm excited to watch Martin in a more intimate setting. Are there little traits I can uncover that can make me feel better about his current standing in his state? Are there things worthy of concern? Is Martin worthy of early offers, or will he have to battle it out among his peers for collegiate opportunities? Looking back, Hawley wasn't on our initial 2026 list because of the lack of tape. Looking at his Hudl now, he has about two minutes' worth of throws from this past Fall season. This answers my question above, yet I present Hawley with another. If graded now, how high/low would he rank among a special 2026 Virginia QB class? I decided not to take too much of a peek into Hawley's tape, so that Sunday's evaluation can give me an idea without any preconceived notions. That being said, it'll be a first impression, one that will likely have an effect on his future placement on our ranks.
