Daison is one that I could see the development that has been made since our December showcase in Aberdeen. There was improvement with his change of direction as it showed off in the pro agility, going in the low 4.7s as a defensive back that has added too some good frame since last showcase. Where the growth was most evident for Daison, was what I saw in Indy drills, as I felt his game speed has amped up since last time and goes outside his testing numbers he shows off. The agile movement that Daison showed off was noted on one rep when he shut the route down upon the WR making his cut with his improved on-ball physicality that I saw. Daison looks like a 2028 from the live eval that should go from watch list to ranked.

Christian is one I had pre-circled prior to our showcase to watch for in the live eval and testing and showed off some skillets that impressed. He was in my top-tier in the group with his footwork, showing off at times some robotic like movement that still can progress foward as a 2027 prospect, with developing more twitch into his change of direction. Christian did a sound job at getting physical at the point of attack right on time when the ball came his way, not too early or late on the reps I watched. He also is more rangy in coverage than he probably gets credit for with his size as Christian is one that I felt the live eval did some justice for a move up our 2027 rankings as a DB that plays outside that measurables box.

Madit was our top performer in testing in the broad jump, showing off the explosion that we see from tape that is brewing. He went 9'7 in the broad jump and showed off a longer reach than you might see on the measurables (nearly 6'2) in which the reps I watched I thought he did a solid job putting that reach into fruition in the reps I watched. I was intrigued how during 1v1s how well this young man finished every rep, as he showed persistent longevity on intermediate and deep routes that also added the edge physicality from start to finish of those reps. Well-versed footwork put Madit in the top-tier in the group with that skillset as his ball-tracking ability has some upside to grow into this summer and beyond but the physical traits are surely there to play on Saturdays.

Another 2027 defensive back that I thought tapped into his upside development at Saturday's showcase was [player_tooltip player_id='1617609' first='Jet' last='Vifquain'] of Rapid City Stevens. Jet showed off long strides with his length and I felt watching his footwork, there was improvement from starting the day to ending the day as Jet in my eyes go more fluid and instinctive. The pro agility number intrigues me for his verified 6'1 170 pound size in which he ran a 4.61, which for that size is intriguing despite the lack of tape, as I did see flashes of Jet utiilzes that change of direction within the reps I watched which showed off the match from testing to game-flow. I feel Jet is a defensive back prospect that in the 2027 class that could see his stock rise this fall, as the athleticism is there for the taking for this young man in the coming year and a half.

If we are talking about the biggest stockrisers in this DB group, we need to have a conversation about West Fargo 2026 DB [player_tooltip player_id='1119008' first='Owen' last='Scoville']. He has been a name on our watch list since the 2026 class debuted, but the trend is high after his Dakotas showcase live eval. He took my DB top tester award, 4.59 40-yard dash, 4.47 pro agility, 8'`11 broad jump, 7.16 (best in showcase) in the L-drill and plays with athleticism in the reps I watched that college coaches are going to want on their roster.. Also carries a 6'3 wingspan and on several live reps, I caught what it looked like up close as Owen moved with in my eyes the best instincts in the DB group as one that is way under the radar in this 2026 class. The sooner he can get his fall tape available, the more intriguing this young man will be on college football radars as Owen is a hidden gem out of West Fargo that is also a team captain for the Packers. Owen is surely is going from watch list to ranked in the 2026 class soon after our camp content is a wrap.

Our DB group on Saturday in Aberdeen, was a tight-knit group as far as similar skillets in my eyes and in the end, our DB MVP came thru with Fargo South 2027 safety [player_tooltip player_id='1667239' first='Chan' last='Ajak'] getting the nod . The 5'10 155 pounder possessed an enticing 6'3 wingspan which I could grasp the length in the reps I watched from Chan in during Indy reps and into 1v1s later. Even as a safety, I was really impressed with Chan's on ball physicality he had it felt like every 1v1 reps and possessed that get up vertical that popped out of nowhere from the clips I rewatched after camp. The athleticsm this young man has and will grow into further with his upside is super intriguing. Chan surely is a 2027 that should see a rise up in this DB group within our rankings.
