On the Rise: 2026 Prospects Boosting Their Recruiting Stock

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. [player_tooltip player_id='1263684' first='Lance' last='Stone'], Inside Linebacker – Vero Beach High   Height/Weight: 6'0", 205 lbs   Evaluation: Stone is a steady, fundamentally sound linebacker who thrives in the box. He reads keys well, closes with purpose, and shows a willingness to take on blockers to make stops. With solid production and a physical presence, he's a player who can anchor the middle and contribute early on special teams at the next level. His balanced blend of instincts and toughness makes him a reliable second-level defender.   [player_tooltip player_id='1227559' first='Gemarkus' last='Starks'], Inside Linebacker/Edge – Vanguard High   Height/Weight: 6'0", 205 lbs   Evaluation: Starks is an active and productive defender who can wear multiple hats in a defense. He excels at locating the football and delivers consistent contact at the point of attack. His ability to shoot gaps and bring pressure off the edge makes him a versatile chess piece. He plays with urgency and aggression, and his high tackle count shows his reliability in both run and short zone coverage responsibilities.   [player_tooltip player_id='1626877' first='Aaron' last='Staples'], Linebacker – Mount Dora High   Height/Weight: 6'1", 190 lbs   Evaluation: Staples is a rangy linebacker who covers ground well and plays with good lateral movement. With more added size and weight, he has the tools to be a reliable weakside linebacker or nickel-package defender at the next level. As he continues to add bulk, he has the makings of a dynamic outside linebacker or hybrid edge defender with coverage upside. Washington High   Height/Weight: 5'11", 210 lbs   Evaluation: Snelling is a playmaker with elite-level production and a nose for disruption. With over 100 tackles and 21 TFLs, he shows explosive short-area quickness, physicality, and high-level instincts. He diagnoses plays in a flash and explodes through gaps to create havoc. Whether chasing down backs or making stops in space, he brings high-energy and impact every snap. His motor and tackling numbers make him a top sleeper with serious upside.
