He is a high IQ kid that can quickly process and diagnose plays, sniff out screens/draws and is strong at the POA when getting off blocks and taking on bigger ball carriers. In coverage, he is smooth in transition and shows disciplined eyes in zone coverage while able to close on ball carriers and is seemingly always around the ball. He is a true edge setter that plays with heavy hands, can make plays outside the tackles or bang in the box and is a fluid mover in space with cover abilities in the flats/downfield. He shows a variety of pass rush moves in his toolbox from the edge, can bend naturally and covers a ton of ground quickly when collapsing the pocket. He is a long and rangy athletic prospect that projects as an outside linebacker at the next level and has plenty of room to grow and develop into his frame. He has elite closing speed and range and covers ground quickly while doing a great job of coming up to set the edge and getting off blocks on the perimeter. He has fluid hips in coverage and quick change of direction abilities while closing quickly and is a physical tackler at the point of attack. He shows good change of direction, collapses the pocket quickly and wins with leverage and initial strike with inside hand placement. He covers ground outside the tackles while able to make plays from sideline to sideline and is a very smart and instinctual player that is a no-brainer next level guy.
