National Preps Collegiate Showcase: Top OL Performers – Part 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The National Preps Collegiate Showcase was held recently at Archbishop Spalding HS (MD). It was the 16th year of the NP Showcase that consist of some of the top talent in the Mid-Atlantic region putting on a show for over 125+ college coaches from FCS/D2/D3 schools. Offensive Line may have been the strongest/deepest position group on the day with some high level prospects in attendance. Add in his excellent length of 79" wingspan and he is checking a lot of boxes that make him a high level OT prospect. Braylen possesses a strong kick step and active feet. Able to cover a lot of ground which each step allows him to get to his spot quickly and get set to strike and win at the POA. He uses he length well to keep defenders at a distance, increasing the distance they have to travel in order to beat him on the edge. He measured in at 6'2 1/2" and 286lbs with a good thick build. Big wide chest and arms with strength throughout his top &amp; lower halves. Quinn plays with quick, active feet and heavy hands. He moves real well and shows good agility for his size. That showed well in 1v1s where he was quicker to the spot and able to re-set making himself a brick wall against rushers. Quinn displayed the ability to sink his hips and set a strong base with good leverage. Allowing him to keep his chest out &amp; up and hands in to strike with power. Quinn is also a high academic prospect with a 4.1 GPA, NHSM member and IB student. He worked out mainly at OC which i think is a good spot for him going forward at 6'0". Displaying nice overall athleticism, Matt was moving really well in drills. Displayed quick, active feet and good agility. Was able to get going swiftly, showed nice flexibility/bend running the cones and getting through the bags. Matt also showed the skill set of setting a strong base in 1v1s which is what leads to him winning most his reps. He can drop his weight and get nice leverage to go along with quick hands off the snap. Matt would strike quickly with a good punch and set his hands inside the defender to gain control before driving them out. A bit undersized he makes up for that with his quickness and overall athleticism. That checks out as Keven is a multi-sport kid, he wrestles and also plays lacrosse. He got reps at OC and OT and held his own at tackle because of his quickness but center is his spot moving forward. Able to stay balanced and keep his hands up &amp; in, Kevin is strong at the POA and will drive guys out. He is an IOL who is strong athlete, playing lacrosse and also wrestling. You saw those other skill sets translate at the showcase ad Devon showcased great feet. He can pull, get out to the second level, and plays on his toes. In 1v1s he displayed the ability to sit and hold his ground well. With a strong lower half, he can drop his weight and would stonewall rushers. Along with having a high motor and active hands, Devon plays through the whistle and competes. No easy reps against him.
