Happy May Day!

To start the month off right, here are some “Flowers” for eight Kansas athletes celebrating their spring with some college recruiting news, including one who has made his college of choice.

[player_tooltip player_id='716116' first='Jensen' last='Schrickel'], WR/DB, 5'10”, 150, Hayden, '25 (Central Missouri)

Hayden's Schrickel finished ranked No. 287 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. The fast athlete has committed to Central Missouri, where he will compete for the Track and Field squad instead of football. He was a playmaker for the Wildcats who will run sprints, jump, and more than likely be utilized on relay teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112371' first='Jack' last='Gordon'], QB, 5'11”, 185, Salina Central, '25

Gordon announced last week that he has received an offer from Ottawa University. He is ranked No. 346 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. He threw for 1,704 yards and 17 touchdowns last season. During his junior season, he threw for 1,945 yards and 19 touchdowns for the Mustangs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228898' first='Nick' last='Anciaux'], OL/TE, 6'5”, 250, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, ‘26

Kapaun's Anciaux has had a busy offseason. He announced yesterday on social media that he has received an offer to play for the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has at least a Baker's Dozen of college offers. He has also received offers from the likes of New Mexico, Lindenwood, Penn, and Tulsa. He is currently ranked No. 197 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1401805' first='Ethan' last='Prescott'], DB/ATH, 6'2”, 200, Free State, ‘26

Prescott is ranked No. 155 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. He has recently received an offer to play for the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers. The Lopers are a program that loves speed. Prescott checks that box. He is able to play on either side of the ball and can be a possible return man for whichever program lands the Free State prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='904472' first='Bailey' last='Johnson'], OL, 6'1”, 305, Lawrence, ‘26

Johnson is ranked No. 177 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He has received an offer from Dakota State University. Johnson latches onto defenders and locks them down. He is a powerful, squatty guard. He gets off the snap well and is super strong. He weighs 310 lbs.. and can bench press 315 lbs. I love it when the big boys can bench more than their own weight.

[player_tooltip player_id='1343588' first='Tahj' last='Edwards'], RB, 5'10”, 165, Lawrence, ‘26

Edwards is ranked No. 237 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. He has received an offer from Highland Community College. He took a huge leap in production between his sophomore and junior seasons. He rushed for 796 yards as a junior compared to 263 during his sophomore campaign. His workload in terms of carries more than doubled between the two seasons. He rushed for 10 touchdowns last season for the Lions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573525' first='Yamnoel' last='Oyola'], ATH, 5'8”, 150, Trinity Academy, ‘26

Trinity's Bernier has received an offer from McPherson College. He is ranked No. 174 overall in the Kansas Class of 2025. He is a Mighty Mouse in the slot. What he lacks in height, he makes up for with his vertical. He runs crisp routes and is a threat to take it to the house every time he catches a pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664431' first='Savion' last='Stone'], QB, 6'2”, 200, KC-Washington, ‘26

Stone has also received an offer from Dakota State University. He is a dual-threat quarterback set to be added to the rankings before the prep season begins. He threw for 1,250 yards and rushed for 1,039 yards in nine games as a junior. He threw 12 touchdown passes and rushed for another 10 scores.
