Checking into our rankings as a top 20 player in his position in the 2027 class, he is a violent ball carrier with natural forward, gets behind his pads and is impossible to take down in the open field once he gets going. He is a fluid athlete for his size with good foot speed, short area quickness and vision in tight windows and flashes third level speed to break away in the clear as well. The Mira Costa prospect has a very strong build and powerful frame and offers a nice floor at the next level and should draw plenty of interest from run heavy systems. He is a long strider that can stretch the field and has a big catch radius and strong hands when making contested plays downfield. He is a true vertical threat that covers a ton of ground quickly with long strides and relies on his length and physicality to win at the point of attack. He is a quick twitched athlete with natural hands and good body control at the point of attack while showing he can stretch the field and create separation over the top of safeties. Potts is also a precise route runner that can get into the blind spot before breaking off his routes and is a jittery ball carrier in the open field that can make defenders miss in the hole or in the open field.
