We have two schools on this list with multiple names being represented on this list for how well they've played and how much they've elevated the blocking schemes for their offenses. We take a look today at 6 O-Linemen entering their senior season to watch out for in Class 2A in 2025!

Playing predominantly at Right Tackle, [player_tooltip player_id='401668' first='Bryce' last='Kock'] paved the way for West Lyon to finish 3rd in the conference in rushing yards and tied-1st among all Class-2A teams in rushing touchdowns (48) en route to winning a state championship for the first time at the 2A level. Kock plays extremely well in the run support, maintaining a low center of gravity and consistently driving defenders backward, or keeping them contained on the inside. Kock gets off the snap quickly, keeps his balance against contact, and extends a wide base to combat speedy edge-rushers. Kock currently holds 3 offers, including one D1 offer from Northern Iowa, and he could very easily find a role at the next level either at Tackle or Guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250804' first='Calan' last='Peters'] is a devastating blocker who's presence in the middle of Okoboji's O-line has really been fun to watch. Peters was key toward guiding a major turnaround for Okoboji last season, culminating with their first playoff appearance since 2008. Peters is as tough as they come, and he will play hard all the way through the whistle. Peters extends from his stance quickly off the snap, maintaining good bend in his knees, and I really liked how he was just able to throw defenders to the side at the point of contact. Peters plays with a relentless motor and he's especially dangerous at getting to the second level to block downfield. Peters will remain as an important cornerstone for this rebuilding Pioneers' team in 2025.

Playing right next to Peters on the trenches is [player_tooltip player_id='1370633' first='Keyshawn' last='Smith'], who also plays with nearly the same level of physicality and intensity on the O-line. Smith also has a tendency of throwing defenders aside and is dangerous in motion as a pull-blocker for the run-game. Smith moves his hands well, extending quickly to make first contact on the defender, and maintains good pad level on his defenders. Smith holds his own very well; not allowing himself to get knocked back often and maintaining his balance in tight space. If Smith can build a little more mass this offseason, Smith could boost his ranking and solidify his spot as a real force to watch in 2025.

Not to be confused with the Bemidji State commit [player_tooltip player_id='1280005' first='Carter' last='Drake-Metzger'], [player_tooltip player_id='1238612' first='Carter' last='Metzger'] has made a name for himself on West Lyon's O-line, playing a big role in helping the team win the Class 2A state championship last season. Serving as the Left Guard, Metzger helped open up the run game through the interior while also proving to be a solid pull-guard, playing with enough quickness and balance to get to the outside and set up a block for the outer lane. Metzger rarely gets pushed back, has decent length to keep defenders out of reach, and is flexible from the lower body with his movement. Metzger should build some mass to fit his interior role, but he has certainly stood out playing for an accomplished unit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1370589' first='Josh' last='Petitt'] has built a bit of weight over his junior year, reaching up to 255 lbs, and that increased strength showed itself throughout the 2024 season as he became a reliable cog as Western Christian's Right Tackle. Petitt is a physical player, keeping his balance in tight quarters and driving his legs forward on a consistent basis. Petitt does well playing low, keeping his feet flat, but also moving fleetly to keep defenders from getting around the outside shoulder and keeping a clean pocket for his QB. Petitt is on the right track toward building his case as a legitimate prospect among the class of 2025.

Playing in the middle of Spirit Lake's O-Line, [player_tooltip player_id='1241361' first='Jasper' last='Robinson'] played a key role in helping Spirit Lake finish with one of the most prolific offenses in the conference last season. With Robinson in the lineup, Spirit Lake led the conference in passing while finishing 2nd in total offensive yards and 3rd in offensive touchdowns as he guided Spirit Lake to the state title game. Robinson rises from his stance quickly off the snap to get the defender first, and he has great vision, scanning quickly the defense to find who to block or assist in double-teaming. Robinson does a solid job at leveraging defenders to the outside with his hands and he does well moving laterally in close quarters. Robinson could build upon his physicality, but he's had an important role blocking for a powerhouse team in Class 2A that should once again contend for the state title in 2025.
