Six months of planning and evaluations has been building toward Sunday.

The Carolinas Coaches Combines Invite Only event will take place at River Bluff in conjunction with the South Carolina Football Coaches Association's spring recruiting fair. And while some movement will likely take place for some players during the latter, the morning will be an excellent chance for those in attendance to prove if they're ready for the next steps.

De facto selections for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas and Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl will be on the line, with members of both staffs on the field conducting even more evaluations.

These 18 players have already put themselves into elite company by getting an invite. We think they can do even more.

[player_tooltip player_id='1267280' first='Jordyn' last='Best'] DB, Ridge View

There's an argument to be made that Best's offseason was among the most impressive in the state. He's drawn more than 20 offers since February and he's backed it up on the track by setting some records. A strong showing at River Bluff could be the bow for the entire spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='1025815' first='Caleb' last='Geronomi'] DB, White Knoll

Geronomi has been proving himself on the field for White Knoll for the last two seasons. We tend to see Geronomi's best when he's in pads, but as one of the top-ranked defensive backs in the state, he can set himself apart amid the other top seniors.

[player_tooltip player_id='473010' first='Michael' last='Boulware'] LB, Gray Collegiate

During the intitial run of combines at Woodland, Boulware had impressive measurables at 6-foot-2 and 214 pounds. He ripped off 20 reps on the bench and hit 21.40 miles per hour while putting up a great work flow on the Cat 1. He's ready to take his next steps.

[player_tooltip player_id='816736' first='Terry' last='Gordon'] LB, South Florence

When it comes to combine testing, Gordon has never blown up the charts. No, he's a gamer. He's more than capable to doing exactly what he's done for South Florence the last two years. Gordon has a football IQ that we love out of the linebacker position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1639678' first='Gehad' last='Sneed'] LB, Berkeley

Some of the linebackers who were invited have more name recognition than others, but Sneed has climbed the charts since the beginning of last season. He's got good size and looks hungry to establish himself as one of the top linebackers in the state as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='367827' first='Bristol' last='Biegenzahn'] DL, West Ashley

Like many of his West Ashley teammates, Biegenzahn didn't participate in the first round of the combines, partially because of the Wildcats' coaching change. However, we've verifed his height, length and wingspan prior and believe what he's bringing to River Bluff elevates his chances.

[player_tooltip player_id='797155' first='Justice' last='Hopkins'] DL, Byrnes

While Biegenzahn has the height, Hopkins has already proved he can make his power count. This is a player who made 26 reps at the Spartanburg Combine look effortless. His first step and ability to leverage opposing offensive linemen should register well during the one-on-ones.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110005' first='Cody' last='Peterson'] OL, Ashley Ridge (pictured)

After shedding some excess weight since last season, Peterson is starting to look like the player many believed he'd be when he first burst onto the seen a few years back as one of the biggest linemen in the state. We consider him a prospect at either guard or tackle now.

[player_tooltip player_id='617718' first='Kenshon' last='Speaks'] OL, Beaufort

Speaks has been among the most consistent tackles in the state since he shifted outside after playing guard as a freshman. He appears to be an all-star lock and has done everything that's been asked of him. He's the fifth-best ffensive lineman in the class for a reason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579733' first='Walker' last='Kelley'] TE, TL Hanna

From spring of last year to the end of April, Kelley grew another inch and put on another 22 pounds. The growth spurt didn't cost him any speed in the Cat 1, and his strength numbers all rose significantly. Identifying all that has done nothing but help his personal goals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1395078' first='Kam' last='Taylor'] TE, Woodruff

Taylor is carrying the banner as the top-ranked pure tight end in the state, and it's not by accident. However, playing at Woodruff doesn't always illuminate just how physical he can be or the type of catch radius he exhibits. Taylor further changes all that by participating here.

[player_tooltip player_id='473021' first='Caden' last='Ramsey'] WR, Cross

With P4 offers already in hand and more surely on the way, Ramsey can make a monster statement to college coaches in attendance by letting his build and all the physical advantages that come along with it do the talking. Those won't be his typical opponents playing opposite him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165092' first='Tylin' last='Drakeford'] WR, Camden

Drakeford is a jack-of-all-trades skill player who is being looked at as a potential college receiver and defensive back. He was chosen for this as a receiver after hauling in 938 yards and 11 touchdowns last fall. Linking up with the quarterback attendance bodes well for him.

[player_tooltip player_id='816751' first='Jude' last='Hall'], WR Christ Church

Hall has had an eventful spring that saw him decommit from Duke and re-open his recruitment. He almost immediately started drawing more attention, as he's looked to put his frame and targetability even more on display. Hall is a likely P4 player looking to further improve his stock.

[player_tooltip player_id='402503' first='Michael' last='Doe'] RB, North Augusta

When Doe turns it on, he keeps on going. That's how he rushed for 1,800 yards and more than 30 touchdowns as a junior. If that's not enough, his ability to catch the ball on screens, swing passes and wheel routes gives him further opportunity to stand out at River Bluff.

[player_tooltip player_id='1148537' first='Jaryn' last='Fox'] RB, Carolina Forest

Another production monster from last fall, Fox rushed for 1,774 yards and 21 touchdowns and hit 150 yards or more - including a 357-yard performance - in six of his last seven games. Even with a helmet on, his vision is excellent, and he's got enough speed to make a sliver of space count.

[player_tooltip player_id='473002' first='Cameron' last='McMillon'] QB, South Pointe

McMillon has a huge arm. That's no surprise; he's had it since he was a freshman and sophomore and Fairfield Central. What he's also got now is a slightly quicker release. He's among the biggest quarterbacks in the state and commands some attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='797160' first='Moon' last='Gerald'] QB, Loris

Gerald is among the lesser known quarterbacks selected for the Invite Only. And while he's 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds and will struggle to break into the top tier at the position, his ability to read defenses and hit receivers in stride won't be ignored on site Sunday.
