Alabama's Defenders- Talented Prospects With Big Seasons Ahead

We've got a talented group of defenders here in the state that we don't want you guys to miss out on!   These guys are seriously gifted and are bound to make offenses across the state wish they didn't have to face them.   As always, make sure to check out their film below! [player_tooltip player_id='1590065' first='Rufus' last='Boone Jr.'] is a talented LB out of Pike Road who has been a huge piece of his team's defense over the last few years.   Right off the bat, It's clear that Boone is a dominant force against the run. He flies downhill and fights off/slips by blockers to consistently meet the ball carrier at or behind the line of scrimmage. Boone is really quick on his feet and can make some hustle plays in pursuit, it's really impressive watching him work from sideline to sideline to create stops.   Boone is just as good against the pass- he's a disruptive force in the backfield who blitzes really well and consistently pressures and sacks the opposing quarterback.   Boone had a productive season last fall, 152 total tackles (12 TFLs), 1 INT, 1 BLK punt, 2 sacks, and 7 hurries.   Over the last month, Boone has seen his recruitment take off, picking up offers from Alabama A&M, Central Arkansas, West Alabama, and more! Washington is a talented defender who kills offenses with his speed, instincts, and physicality. He's quick on his feet, can cover lots of ground, and has the pursuit and tackling skills to hunt and take down the ball carrier all over the field.   I'm impressed with how versatile of a playmaker Washington is. He's a dominant run defender who can equally impact the pass by blitzing and dropping back into coverage to make plays on the ball. I think he's set for a massive senior season, everyone should look out for him this fall.   Washington has seen his recruitment open up this month, picking up his first two offers from North Alabama and UT Martin! Pearson is incredibly reliable in coverage. He has some of the best ball skills I've seen recently and does an unreal job breaking on passes and getting his hands on the ball to break up and pick off passes. On top of that, he's a dependable tackler who wraps up well and doesn't allow for any extra yards.   Pearson also adds a ton of value on special teams. He's an explosive returner who uses his vision and speed to navigate the field and put his team in great starting field position. Whether he's on defense or special teams, you can count on Pearson to produce- he's a really talented player who should pick up more attention over the next few months.   Last season, Pearson recorded 38 solo tackles, 4 INTs, and 31 PBUs.   Over the last month, Pearson has picked up offers from UT Martin, Arkansas Tech, Marian, and more! Crenshaw is a talented run stopper who sets the edge, fights off blockers, and makes his way to take down the RB nearly every down. He's just as productive rushing the passer- he explodes off the snap, has violent hands, and closes in on the QB to provide pressure and sacks for his defense.   I'm extremely impressed with Crenshaw's athleticism. He has some plays where you can't do anything but just shake your head in disbelief, especially with the effort and pursuit he plays with. He will work across the entire length of the field if it means he can make a stop, and at his size, it's crazy to see.   Earlier this month, Crenshaw picked up his first offer from North Alabama! With his talent, I won't be surprised to see more head his way soon, he has a ton of talent and potential. Washington is a dominant man-to-man corner who thrives on his physicality in coverage. He consistently wins at the line of scrimmage, jamming WRs up and re-routing them to completely take them out of plays. On top of that, he's really good at getting his hands on the ball to jar free passes for some huge stops.   I love seeing how Washington defends the run. He doesn't shy away from contact and quickly flies downhill to deliver some huge hits/tackles in the backfield, or for little gain. It's clear Washington has a well-rounded skill set- he'll be a DB that offenses have to plan around this fall.   Earlier this month, Washington picked up his first offer from North Alabama!
