’26 Rankings Update: Film Evals for New Additions, Part VI

To the best of my knowledge, I know two things to be true when it comes to player rankings. First, Prep Redzone is the industry leader in state-by-state depth when it comes to rankings. In this series you will find our unedited, raw ranking notes for nearly 300 new additions to the class of 2026's final rankings. want to see improve closing speed; gets to the correct place when defending the pass; keeps his head out of the tackle; have not seen him read and hit the hole for a TFL, sort of scrapes laterally when having to read; fullback who runs with great forward lean, able to break tackles with power or spinning away from leverage; defensive tackle that we see begin to have upward bend, move feet and work to lock out - does not get immediate pop and lock off the line; violent of a runner; asked to play off of the edge some; takes on pullers with his hands, want to see him dip, rip; runs with better pad level between the tackles than when on the perimeter; reliable hands when he leaks out on PAP</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1537924' first='Girard' last='Yoo'] 6'1" 200 WR Delbarton</td><td>Unafraid to make a catch in a closing window on skilly posts; takes a moment to get going to full speed; claims a 4.58 forty - speed looks inconsistent on film sinks hips when coming form return , in-breakingroutes; uses hands to grab; can high point the ball better; willing, able blocker on quick game for teammates; will extend arms and hands for catches; not much for wiggle or moves, catches the ball and heads upfield - does not try to make defenders miss all that much; comes back to the ball on returning routes</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1069013' first='Grant' last='Lorentzen'] WR JFK Iselin</td><td>Breaks on routes are not that sharp; will extend arm and hands for the ball, can high point; seems to understand how to use his body to shield defenders fromt he ball; tracks ball over opponents shoulder well; can win a fade ball; unsure of his speed - played poor competition; wins on a lot of fades; times the snap and takes advantage of it; long strides allow him to beat his opponent to the spot; works spin back to quarterback when they step up; breaks down and makes a cloudy read in option plays; too quick to be held, his power and momentum allows him to break those holds; tackling can be a bit more under control when facing a target in space; have not seen many moves when rushing the passer demosntrated yet, beats them with pure athleticism; have not seen him squeeze when unblocked</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1634741' first='Heath' last='Reinhardt'] 5'9" 180 WR/ATH Wall Township</td><td>Can take a blow and still come up with the ball; high points the ball well; can play over the top of defenders to Moss them; Punter, gets the ball about 40 yards without a step on a grass field and a bad snap nearly over his head; best punt was about 55 yards before the roll, non directional, however; can cutback against an over pursing defender witha. jump cut; secures ball sufficiently against his body; seems like an ok player that will not hurt your team</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1524825' first='Hunter' last='Bigham'] 6'3" 205 LB Chatham</td><td>Tight end, uses hands to catch, mostly; has a better speed when in the open field than when running his route; when blitzing will deliver a blow to the offensive lineman to create separation; want to see him retrace back to the quarterback earlier when he steps up; does not spill well, sort of braces with arms extended; lazy at times with his drops; can make a catch in traffic; capable of reading keys and getting over the top, do not see him try to shoot backside window or make plays in the hole; does not always see things clearly</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1545714' first='Isaac' last='Pate'] 5'7" 150 RB Steinert</td><td>Hits hole at full speed, gets to full speed quickly; will run into backs of his teammates due to how much faster he is than them; competition he is playing is poor; switches ball to outside arm; pins it at moments to his chest when danger nears; has not shown the ability to carry defenders or many moves; can get off a juke or stiff arm, but not often; bigger corner, comes up and makes good form tackles; needs to sink hips; uses stiff arm to create space and evade defenders; reacts quickly to the throw on short game, attacks his force leverage; carries ball low, does not pin it, can be punched out; solid back pedal and hips can make one turnto break if he cannot play the bball he will break up passes through the body; eyes quarterback a bit more, want to see him transition eyes to receiver at some point when on defense; like his game, seems well coached and a quality player; tackles can be a bit more aggressive and low, use his shoulder more; can make toe tap grabs; unsure if he will be a receiver or defender in college - can probably play either; makes falling grabs into the ground</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1572839' first='Jack' last='Gyimesi'] 6'3" 215 TE Rumson-Fair Haven</td><td>Runs well in the open field; takes a knock back when on the line at time; can adjust to very poorly thrown balls; slips out and does a nice job running PAP fakes; can seal the edge on outside zone plays nicely; will throw a hard shoulder into kickout assignments and hope they fall rather than keep feet through contact and keep working - not much for blocking</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1561995' first='Jack' last='Kovacs'] 5'10" 180 WR Hanover Park</td><td>Does not need a 9 minute film; has a good burst off of the line and into the open field as he runs his route; can separate, wonder what his 40 time is; can make an relatively accurate throw, on the run, on trick plays - lefty thrower; fakes a stalk block to tempt defender up with a flat behind him, only to burst and get an easy score - very savvy play; round the ball, pursues and follows plays well; faster than he is quick; can get hips hips around on defense and bail; moves very well on te field in all directions; route running can be refined, not many fakes or breaks, just manages to run, quickly and fast, to open space; have not seen a wrapped or technique tackle yet; tons of upside and raw potential by an athletic, excited to play the game, and plays it the right way type of player; tracks ball over shoulder well</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1572893' first='Jack' last='O'Connell'] 6'4" 180 QB Glassboro</td><td>Good weight transfer, can geg good loft on the ball in red zon to drop th eball between back of endzone and receiver; will stand in the face of trouble to deliver a ball; very good ball placement on target, puts the ball in places where only his guy can make the play - especially on vertical passes; has experience running RPOs; blessed with tremendous athletes at the skill position and a group 1 schedule; can dart the ball into a window about 25 yards away, tightly; can put loft/touch at times; trusts his receivers a lot; have not seen him totally bomb a pass just yet; see him work torque in his lower body and get off his plant foot; has size to be a legit prospect, want to see him add weight</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1524381' first='Jack' last='Viola'] 5'10" 180 WR Middletown North</td><td>Double move can get defenders to bite; very tall, can go top shelf on people; appears to have one speed as a runner; nifty wit his moves, can make over pursuers miss; sinks hips slighyty on out breaking; decent feet on upfield, slant routes; dives at times when tackling; when walked up on the line can get pushed around; tracks ball over his hsoulder nicely; needs to sink hips, come back to the ball on returning routes; can make people miss in the open field; subtly opens up outside path as he progresses the stem of his route, gets defender to give up leverage at times; played corner and safety; beneficiary of many poor throws when on defense; do not trust his tackling, want to see him wrap and apply technique; has some speed to get over the top as a receiver; baits defenders with a stop-and-go route - would be better if he broke down his hips; interested to see him more in the intermediate game, create for himself on offnese</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1515038' first='Jaiden' last='Steele'] 5'10" 170 RB Camden</td><td>Quickly reaches top speed, has enough speed to split cover 2 safties up the middle; shot out of a cannon at moments; a one cut runner between the tackles, has good vision in the later levels of a defense; trusts his speed to get to the perimeter; has not shown any/many moves, a lot of speed and change of direction;
