<p>To the best of my knowledge, I know two things to be true when it comes to player rankings. First, Prep Redzone is the industry leader in state-by-state depth when it comes to rankings. Second, Prep Redzone New Jersey – <em>specifically</em> – is the unabashed leader in sharing our evaluation ranking notes.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1524410' first='Jonathan' last='Gonzalez'] RB Lakewood</td><td>Mostly pins th ball; a hard runner, plows forward and ahead; good tackler, wraps to leverage very nicely; goes down relatively easy; good on the perimeter</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1523197' first='Jonel' last='Lince'] 5'8" 160 ATH Trenton Central</td><td>Can high point the ball and catch it with his hands; corner who will react quickly to short game and mix it up, brak up passes in contested situation; good hitter and solid wrapper; a hard runner, maybe his team's best athlete; competition he played was poor; able to run the ball, uses stiff arm, but might end up being a defender if he plays in college</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1270238' first='Jordan' last='Evans'] 6'3" 260 OL Rancocas Valley</td><td>Gets out on screens a bit slow, want to see him come to balance; plays upright when doubling, gets great movement; dremendous shock and blow when punching in pass protection; pops upright out of his stance needs more ability to bend; out of his stance quickly; needs a more consistent base to drive solo</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1642054' first='Jordan' last='Moreta'] 6'2" 200 ATH Paramus Catholic</td><td>Full-force tackler with a head of steam when timed off the edge; reads screens extremely well, jumps those routes; good backpedal, stays in it for a period of time and then breaks/runs as things deevelop; secure wrapper when tackling; covers and runs with some receivers, can jam weak ones and run with others; walked up on the line hits a good swim move; not super twitchy, but quick, athletic, and a smart player; unsure if a safety, corner, linebacker, or end - can truly hold his own at all levels of the defense;</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1282760' first='Jordan' last='Palmer'] 6'1" 280 Washington Township</td><td>Offensive tackler; pops up out of his stance; leans on his matchup, createves movement this way - hands on might snatch him down; needs better bend, his ankles/knees/hips/shoulders are not every vertically aligned in his stance; uses his size well to displace people on down/out blocks; not many pass pro clips on his tape; shown that he will protect the inside rush lane first by stepping that way</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='826572' first='Joseph' last='Irvine'] 6'5" 275 OL St. Augustine</td><td>Works hands up into his opponent; seems to glide to the second level on seal blocks; has good acceleration in the open field; works his feet well when driving, but inconsistent effort - sometimes will just lean and drop someone rather than jump his feet; will slam a speed rusher to his outside down; gets best movement on double teams, but defender spins outside of him to beat it, does not get back in front of assignment; kickstep nees to be more immediate and fundamental in its approach; very few clips of him pass protecting</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1524796' first='Joseph' last='Yun'] QB Demarest</td><td>Can get the ball about 55 yards; stars down his receiver; has to load and wind up to complete and get the deep ball off; short routes tend to be a little bit high; want to see more mustard on throws over the middle and toward boundary; activates lower body to get throws off</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='819158' first='Joseph' last='Zamot'] 6'0" 210 LB The Lawrenceville School</td><td>Can make a clean read and get down hill, making stops in the hole; tackling can improve some, loses his feet at moments or does not always keeps them (tries to hip drop); gets hands and separates to create space from linemen when they engage with him, have not seen him outright shed them; wraps well when tackling; makes clean reads for the most part, not sent in motion, static and plays ball; veery few coverage clips, cannot evaluate this part of his game</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1537253' first='Josh' last='D'Ambrosio'] 6'1" 185 DB Manville</td><td>Safety, does not stay low in backpedal, looks like he might fall overhimself at times; upright runner with ball in his hand and does not pin it; can make acrobatic catches falling away and on the move; very good vertical leap, can jump high and bluck the ball out of the air; have not seen him highpoint the ball; beneficiary of many very poor throws; not much for wrapping or shoulder tackling</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1286664' first='Joshua' last='Witherspoon'] 6'4" 280 OL Lawrenceville</td><td>Tremendous pop with upper body, totally stuns people when he punches; want to see his feet move mroe quickly when someone takes an inside move; pass protection appears to lock out and grab, has very long arms; must find more work more quickly when his assignment is neutralized; plays high, have not see him in a 3 point stance, only 2 point stances; gets great movement ond ouble teams, must work harder to stay hip to hip; crosses feet when moving latereally on zone plays, not keeping them lateral</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='855777' first='Josiah' last='Bynum'] 5'11" 170 QB Deptford</td><td>Lofts ball, too much air on it; want to see the ball pop off of his hand more; has some elusiveness to make defenders miss; punter, ball goes about 40 yards</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1642034' first='Julian' last='Peterson'] 6'1" 170 DB Winslow</td><td>Corner, tall, long; drives on ball well, particularly in the short game; unsure of his hands on defense, tips and plays the ball, rather than making a play on it; gets hands on, sheds, to keep force contain; physical player; good tackler, hits/wraps/drive extremely well; can knife into the backfield off the edge and complicate things; plays press, can stick and ride most opponents' hips; played some safety; want to see him be more physical when pressing - has shown it when tackling and taking on blockers; have not seen clips of him tested deep</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1537232' first='Julian' last='Sanchez'] 5'11" 180 LB Spotswood</td><td>Capable of playing down hill from a read; moves when the ball is snapped, knows what his keys are and where to look; enough vision and speed to shoot the backside iwndow for tackles for loss; commbits to diagnose step, then hustles to perimeter, able to make play on bubbles; want to see him leverage tackle better, right now just takes people down without applying technique; slows down, more than breaks down, when tackling; need more coverage clips</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1467565' first='Julien' last='Jones'] 5'11" 205 LB Colonia</td><td>Sits in his hook to hook drop, head on swivel, looking for crossers; bails and oes full speed on plays to teither hash; clogs passing lanes well, might have long arms; does not take a diagnose step or pass drop, sort of holds serve and reads what to do; probably more of an instinctual player than anything; very good wrap and tackler, could stand to drive his feet more; gets down immediately about half the time maybe? diagnose steps needed; seems good in pass coverage</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1097173' first='Junior' last='Serrano'] 6'1" 205 DL Glassboro</td><td>Plays off the edge, throws a move but keeps working upfield to force a step up where he retraces from there; want to see him get hips through and around once he gets the edge; has closings peed; plays standing; fights reach effectively, loses some ground; must bend tighter when backside; apppears to be a solid tackler; wish to see him get his hands above his eyes; creates some separation from offensive plays when playing on or at the line; successfully boxes, then can get back inside to make the play himself</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1567354' first='Justin' last='Coleman'] 5'10" 185 LB Hackensack</td><td>Does not need 6 minute highlight film; takes a diagnose step then bails to his hook to curl responsibility n icely, gets under the play; shows a closing burst when finishing; speed and power helps him disengage with blockers, more than hands on and separating; quick and fast enough to make TFLs in the backside window; accelerates to the boundary well on quick game passes; not enough seen in coverage</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1547361' first='Justin' last='Davis'] 6'1" 210 DL Wall</td><td>Edge, has a stutter move that he uses to set up the swim; does not always play whith his hand in the ground; tight end who runs well in the open field, accelerates well; takes on trappers iwth his shoulder, gets inside of them; shown more quickness than you would expect; good on double teams displacing to the next level; has played surf technique; apt at several pass rush moves, including the pin & spin, ghost dip; want to see him use his hands more; not sure where he will end up, is a pretty good tight end too</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1476965' first='Justin' last='Scaramuzzo'] 6'2" 180 QB St. Joseph's Metuchen</td><td>Gets into a good rythym when used in play action; very evasive in the pocket, moves well and keeps his eyes down field; long ball can get about 50 yards on it; deep ball placement is very good, room for improvement to tear drop it in the bread basket - accomplishes this with a clena pocket though; does not pin the ball when rushing it; moves and escapes well; excited to make big plays and play the game; dangerous when he steps up in the pocket; good, accurate ball when throwing on the run; want to see him activate his lower half a bi tmore consistently when throwing; release is quick</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1556328' first='Kadir' last='Younge'] 5'8" 180 RB/DB PCTI</td><td>Violent runner, especially when he gets his arms going; strong lower half allows tackles to fall off of him; gets his legs up some when running, breaks poor tackles; has some balance to stay upright; vision to cutback in the backfield if the point of attack is tied up; if he cannot run past you, he sort of runs into you; an upright runner that has not shown many moves; very much what you see is what you get</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1530066' first='Kai' last='Smith'] 5'9" 180 DB/RB Pascack Valley</td><td>Walkes down off the edge in a 5, plays back too; aggressive fitting the alley, too much speed off the edge for a tackle to block; high points the ball and uses his hands to receive it; expodes downhill at times, full force, full bodied tackles; great pursuit from opposite hash on toss away; clean up tackler, goes low and wraps well; someitmes has to adjust his angle due to aggressiveness in pursuit; a bit out of control when bending the corner, needs to get flatter; hard runner with ball in his hands; not many clips of him defending the pass or in man</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>
