2027 SoCal Stock Risers

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">In-depth evaluations of the 2027 southern California prospects who have seen their recruiting stock on the rise this spring. </h2>    Johnson is a physically gifted WR with a prototypical frame at 6'3” 190 lbs. He plays with natural body control and high-level spatial awareness, consistently winning in contested catch situations using his length, timing, and strong hands. Well-polished route runner that is efficient with an advanced understanding of leverage and tempo allowing him to separate from coverage. His stride is smooth and deceptive enabling him to build speed quick and stack DB's on vertical routes. Reliable hands and tracks the deep ball showing he can adjust to ball flight. Excels after the catch running with physicality and good long speed, consistently breaks away from defenders in space and takes short catches for long gains. Transferred in from Texas where finished his sophomore season with 68 receptions for 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns. Holds nine D1 offers.      Honore is a savvy slot receiver who separates with elite-level route running and consistently finishes plays with strong ball skills. 5'10” 175 lbs. he uses quick feet, good pace, and sharp breaks to create windows against both man and zone coverage. Manipulates coverage with good use of leverage, stems, head fakes, and body lean to make subtle route variations effective in getting open. Equally dangerous stretching the field vertically as he is at the short/intermediate levels showing an instinctive feel for spacing and adjusting mid-route. High level natural ball skills, he's confident at the catch point and attacks the ball in the air showing he can play the ball through contact or outside his framework. Excellent field awareness, acceleration, and lateral agility to make explosive plays after the catch. Holds 16 total offers with several top programs coming in the last month including Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisville. Recently named MVP at the National Preps SoCal Showcase.      White is a dynamic athlete with explosive playmaking ability out of the slot or split out wide for Cajon. 6'0” 170 lbs. he shows excellent fluidity and game speed to be a scoring threat every time he touches the ball. Beats coverage and creates separation with sudden route running, plus change of direction, and high end short area burst to accelerate out of his breaks. Outstanding ball skills, he shows good hand eye coordination and concentration to play the ball in traffic and win at the catch point. After the catch, he's elusive and deceptive with his movement often turning short passes into long gains with vision, lateral quickness, and burst. Possesses a versatile skillset that could easily transition to multiple positions at the college level. Has added four D1 offers in recent weeks bringing his total to 12.      Hillsten is a quality D1 OL prospect with the size and skillset to play any position. 6'4” 305 lbs. he's a plus athlete with natural movement skills and length in his frame. Combines his strength and technique to be a force in both the run game and in pass protection. Shows good initial quickness out of his stance to establish positioning and is able to control and sustain his blocks with active hand usage. Accelerates his feet upon contact but remains under control and balanced throughout the play, rarely see him outside his framework. Plays with an edge to finish his blocks with aggression and force. Fundamentally sound with his feet, hand placement, and the leverage he creates at the POA. First offered by Air Force in April and just picked up his second from Portland State.      McKindley's recruiting stock is on the rise with recent offers coming in from Delaware State and Northern Arizona to add to his initial offer from Nevada. 6'3” 290 lbs. with a 78 inch wingspan he's got a well-built frame for the interior OL that is athletic and balanced. Not many weaknesses in his game with his ability to clear running lanes, move his feet in pass protection, or pick up blitzing linebackers. Physical and aggressive blocker in the run game that consistently generates movement at the LOS with powerful initial contact and good positional leverage to seal. In his pass set, he's able to mirror movement and stay in front playing with a wide base and active hands. Can also anchor down to absorb an oncoming rush without giving ground. High football IQ for the line and shows he can execute different blocks effectively. Expect the offers to keep rolling in.
