As we move closer to the heat of summer, the 2025 high school football offseason is in full swing. With that in mind, we have begun a new round of rankings updates. The most recent class to be updated is the incoming junior class of 2027. After officially releasing these rankings updates, I will now be breaking them down by position. With the offensive and defensive sides of the ball already being covered, I will wrap things up with our top ATH in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky who make an impact at multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='378839' first='Garyon' last='Hobbs'] has remained consistently high in our rankings over the past couple years. He makes his biggest impact on defense where he has played in a hybrid linebacker/safety role. Hobbs is dominant against the run, showing the ability to read the play quickly then use his closing speed to get to the ball carrier in a hurry. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he finishes his tackles with a ton of physicality. Hobbs finished his sophomore season at CAL with 79 tackles and 15 tackles for loss in 14 games. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass, finishing the year with one sack and three interceptions, returning one of them for a touchdown. Hobbs also made an impact on offense as a sophomore, running the ball 56 times for 366 yards and two touchdowns while catching 16 passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Garyon holds a long list of Power 4 offers and I expect a lot of eyes to continue to be on him after transferring to Atherton for his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1160198' first='Chance' last='McPike'] is a new addition to our rankings after moving to Kentucky from Missouri this offseason. McPike is an electric wide receiver who finished his sophomore season with 42 receptions for 745 yards and eight touchdowns. He has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. McPike also has very reliable hands, showing the ability to make catches away from his body with ease. Chance also played a key role on defense at safety last season, finishing the season with 15 tackles and two interceptions, returning one of them for a touchdown. He is also a dangerous returner on special teams, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns as a sophomore. McPike currently holds multiple Power 4 offers and I expect more to come his way heading into his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665343' first='Larron' last='Westmoreland'] is another high-caliber prospect who moved to the Bluegrass State this offseason. Westmoreland is a long, athletic wide receiver on the offensive side of the ball who is a true big play threat. He is a skilled route runner who uses smooth breaks to create separation with ease. After the catch, he has shown the speed and elusiveness to pick up extra yards. He also makes an impact on defense at safety where he has shown the ability to make plays in coverage but also support against the run, showing the ability to come downhill to fill the lane in a hurry and make tackles in the open field. Larron currently holds several Power 4 offers and I expect that list to continue to grow over the next couple seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1375197' first='JuJu' last='Harmon Jr'] is a player who has been high on our radar for a while now. On defense, Harmon lines up at safety where he is very impressive in coverage. He does a great job of reading the quarterback and flowing through the secondary to put himself in a position to make a play. When the ball is thrown in his direction, Harmon has shown impressive ball skills, finishing his sophomore year at Western Hills with a team-high six interceptions in 10 games, returning one of them for a touchdown. He also finished the year with 49 tackles and 10 tackles for loss. Harmon also made a huge impact on offense this past season, leading the team in receiving with six catches for 179 yards and a touchdown while also scoring one rushing touchdown. JuJu currently holds offers from Kentucky and Miami (OH), and I expect him to receive a lot of attention after transferring back to Scott County for his junior year.

To wrap up our top five ATH in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1200641' first='Timmy' last='Emongo']. Emongo is an electric playmaker on offense who has e versatility to line up out of the backfield and in the slot at receiver. He has the speed to breakaway from the defense for a big gain at any given moment. Emongo also has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. He finished his sophomore year with 68 carries for 501 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games while also catching six passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. Timmy also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and made an impact on defense this past season, finishing the year with 26 tackles and two interceptions. Emongo currently holds multiple Power 4/Division I offers and I expect more to come his way as he is a very talented prospect.
