Much can change over the months between rankings updates.

Even more follows suit when we start talking about season-to-season or year to year. That drives our mantra when it comes to Prep RedZone's rankings amendments.

The work isn't done for players, so why should that be any different when it comes to those evaluating them?

Our job is to scout these players for what they are - right here and right now on the high school level. However, when it comes to the Class of 2027, we're also talking about players who have two full season of prep football ahead of them.

That leaves what feels like an eternity left for those outside the Top 100 of our latest cycle to improve their personal stock. Situationally, six of the players currently in the triple digits are positioned to earn a higher ranking by this time next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1603816' first='Grady' last='Stone'] RB, Clover

In the season opener a year ago, [player_tooltip player_id='1012627' first='Landon' last='Stone'] rushed for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns. In the second game, with big brother nursing an ankle tweak, Grady put up 205 and two touchdowns, including a 75-yarder, before coming out at halftime due to post-illness fatigue. Grady probably won't get as many carries as Landon, but he's got more home-run potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1603787' first='Elijah' last='Lipsey'] WR, Daniel

With Grayson Clary throwing to him last fall, Lipsey hauled in 38 passes for 636 yards and eight touchdowns. Clary has transferred to Rabun Gap, which opened up the door for [player_tooltip player_id='1094520' first='Jace' last='Grass'] to return from his one season at Pendleton. Trading one top-notch passer for another won't change Lipsey's athleticism or production potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1149041' first='Beckham' last='Diimmler'] WR/K, Chapin

Dimmler looked like a top-75 type of player prior to an injury knocking him out for the majority of 2024. He caught nine passes in his three games, which was big, but his leg gives him a rare double-up as a big-time scoring threat. He hit 17-of-18 PATs and a 37-yard field goal during his short junior run, as well. (No 2024 film available)

[player_tooltip player_id='1664217' first='Kiawan' last='Ford'] DL, Battery Creek (pictured)

Ford was a full-time defense end until he hit another growth spurt and spent more time in the weight room. The fact that he can now transition fluidly to the interior when necessary only exposes more folks to his skill set and size. It also keeps him on the field in various roles the Dolphins will need him to fill from one game to the next.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217173' first='Rakeem' last='Walker'] WR/DB Bamberg-Ehrhardt

Walker the safety put up 38 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three interceptions and a pair of forced fumbles. As a receiver, he was third on the squad with 25 receptions for 376 yards and two touchdowns. It's possible his defensive numbers jump considerably, and even if his offensive figures dip some, his overall value to the Red Raiders is rising.

[player_tooltip player_id='1623487' first='Brandon' last='Streater'] OL, Central

Streater just turned 16 in March, and he's already 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds. The Eagles' offense is based around movement, not pure power, and the left tackle is more than nimble enough to hold the edge or get out in space for a ball carrier. Central has the look of a squad capable of making some noise in Class 2A, which only extends his looks.
