Tuesday Takeover- 2028s Who Should Be On Everyone's Radar

Welcome back to Tuesday Takeovers!   Today we are looking at some of the talented 2028s here instate- you won't want to miss these guys, they've got huge futures ahead. [player_tooltip player_id='1634530' first='Jermaine' last='Bush III'] is a talented 2028 DB out of Theodore who put together a really impressive debut season last fall.   Bush already has a well-rounded skill set he uses to make plays out in coverage and against the run. He's already terrific at tackling- he does really well in pursuit, taking great angles and using his closing speed to track and take down the ball carrier in the open field and down by the line of scrimmage.   Bush is just as good in coverage- he provides a ton of security over the top of the field as a safety, doesn't let anyone get behind him, and has the vision and ball skills to break up passes and haul in interceptions downfield.   Bush had a great freshman season last fall, ending the year with 18 total tackles (11 solo and 7 assisted) one INT, and one PBU. Teams at the next level are starting to take notice, Bush picked up his first offer from Lousiana last week and is set to attend several programs over the next few months. [player_tooltip player_id='1649413' first='Jamari' last='Nicks'] is a highly athletic 2028 WR/RB out of Winterboro who put together some impressive film last season.   Nicks is highly athletic and can do so many things well with the ball in his hands- he is super fast, can easily make defenders miss, and can affect the game from multiple positions.   At WR, Nicks is a matchup nightmare for opposing DBs- he is a talented route runner who finds separation at every level of the field, has a great set of hands he uses to haul in tough-to-catch passes, and can create huge plays after the catch by using his speed and elusiveness.   Nicks is just as much of a threat at RB- he's explosive out of the backfield, has the acceleration to rev up from 0-100 with ease, and has the vision to find and take advantage of holes in the defense for huge gains on the ground.   Nicks has picked up offers from Tennessee and Arkansas over the last few months and is a prospect everyone needs to watch out for in the recruiting world going forward- he has a ton of talent and is set up for a huge year this upcoming fall.      [player_tooltip player_id='1184384' first='Ya'Lin' last='Lee'] is a talented 2028 RB out of Saraland who has established himself as one of the top prospects at his position in our 2028 Rankings.   Lee is a problem for defenses out of the backfield- he's fast, has great acceleration and twitch, and can create huge runs inside and outside the tackles. On top of that, Lee is a physical runner with great contact balance who plays with tons of effort and makes the most out of every carry he gets.   It's seriously impressive watching how shifty Lee is with the ball in his hands- it's near impossible for defenses to bring him down, he's incredibly elusive and changes his direction effortlessly, making defenders miss and stepping out of tackles constantly.   Lee had an impressive freshman season last fall, ending the year with 68 carries for 932 yards, 77 total receiving yards, and 8 total TDs. Offensively, Billups is a well-rounded WR who gains tons of separation off his routes, is explosive after the catch, and is a reliable blocker out wide who opens up tons of space for his teammates out in the secondary.   Billups has also lined up and produced at SS- providing great coverage over the top and consistently tracking the ball to haul in some really impressive INTs and PBUs downfield.   Even on special teams, Billups finds ways to make an impact- consistently creating huge returns off kickoffs and putting his offense in great starting field position.   Billups has a bright future ahead of him at Hewitt Trussville, be sure to watch out for him this fall and check out his tape from last season below.      [player_tooltip player_id='1649500' first='Jay' last='West'] is a dominant OT out of Vestavia Hills who played really well last fall and has all the traits to be a top OL prospect in the state over the next few years.   West is a MAULER for Vestavia Hill's rushing attack. At 6'4 280, he has the size and strength to physically dominate nearly everyone who lines up across from him, consistently creating wide rushing lanes for his teammates and pancaking defenders into the dirt every snap. West is just as good in pass protection- he's quick on his feet, can counter rush moves, and is an anchor on the outside who doesn't allow for any pressure or sacks on his QB.   What stood out to me most when watching West's tape was seeing how much effort he plays with- he's a guy who takes pride in dominating the trenches and blocks through the whistle every single snap.   I was really impressed with West's tape, be sure to give him a watch below- he's got a bright future ahead of him on this Vestavia Hills offensive line.
