Middle School Football was alive and well at Battle Ground Academy on Sunday afternoon as the Tennessee Future Stars held their 16th annual tryouts in the Nashville area. After stopping by Franklin to catch all the action, it's time to break down some of my favorite prospects to showcase their talent on the field. Without any further ado, here's my list of some top tier middle school talent.

In the first place spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1622398' first='Elijah' last='Crawley-Webb'], an athlete that impressed me at the line of scrimmage during positional drills. What makes Crawley-Webb so explosive is his size, speed and ability to overpower his opponent with ease. I also liked how Crawley-Webb could utilize his arms to stun his foe and consistently win his reps during one-on-one drills.

I was additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='1633607' first='Turner' last='White'], a quarterback at Brentwood Middle School. White initially caught my attention with his excellent size as well as his solid footwork during early drills. White also impressed me during positional drills, proving his ability to maneuver the pocket, quickly scan the backfield and consistently complete the long pass.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1307094' first='Trent' last='Perkins'], a wide receiver at Smyrna Middle School. Perkins makes a considerable impact with his size and electric speed off the snap, showcasing his ability to run an effective route and elevate off the ground to haul in the deep ball.

Another skilled prospect to watch out for is [player_tooltip player_id='1218739' first='Barrett' last='Hudson'], an offensive lineman at Eagleville Middle School. Hudson stood out with his size and strength, proving his ability to blast his opponent and utilize his strength to make the most of his reps. Another aspect of Hudson's playstyle that stood out was his ability to use his wingspan to wrap up the defense during one-on-one drills.

Coming in at number five on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1589021' first='Kevin' last='Caldwell Jr'], a running back that made his presence known with his strong footwork and athleticism during warm-up drills and would go on to impress me with his speed off the snap and execution during one-on-one reps. Caldwell makes a difference with his size and ability to be durable on the run.

Also catching my attention was [player_tooltip player_id='1307154' first='Shook' last='Decker'], an offensive lineman at Brentwood Academy. Decker caught my eye with his excellent size and speed at the line of scrimmage. Decker was especially explosive during positional drills, using his arms to push off and stun his opponent to make the most of his reps.
