So. Florida 2027 Offensive Linemen Are Being Watched

In this article:
The great thing about getting the chance to watch so much high school football talent in the state of Florida live, is you actually see prospects perform five feet in front of you.
As many still rank and evaluate from relying on film only, they are missing out on having the opportunity to see some elite talent and being able to truly compare one prospect from another.
As we are ready to start traveling around this spring and summer, it is with plenty of anticipation that we will have another chance to uncover some new talent while backing up what we watched throughout 2024.
One of the areas of Florida that has always been among the best in the country when it came to producing upper tier talent is south Florida.
The amount of talent that is unleashed each year in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties are among the best in the country, and the numbers in college and at the professional level certainly back that up.
With so many positions getting ready to showcase their prospects this spring, the Class of 2027 is ready to take the wrapper off some quality offensive linemen that showcased their skills as sophomores in ’24 and has continued to elevate and mature in the off-season.
Today, we look at five prospects from the #305 and #954 – all we have been fortunate to watch LIVE several times – at camps, combines, practices and in games.
Gerren Bray, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. Before he played for a state title last season with West Boca Raton, here is a quality prospect that we had the chance to see and came away impressed at his skill, improving strength and athleticism. Since arriving in Fort Lauderdale, he has given his new teammates, coaches and those who follow recruiting and evaluate talent a sample size of to expect the next two years. He has Power 4 talent and will continue to pick up offers based on what he brings to the table as an offensive line difference maker.
Amari Cherenfant, 6’2, 293, Hollywood McArthur. While he has been at a few places, his recent move to Hollywood to play for the Mustangs will be a perfect landing spot as he continues to get bigger, stronger and learns more and more about the position. He has the chance to be very special over the next few seasons with an innovative offense. With a competitive schedule a year ago, he has shown that he is ready to continue growing and maturing.

II, T/G, 6’5, 330, Miami True North Classical Academy – 3.1 GPA. Over the past year here is someone who has started to get serious and understands that he has the chance to be one of the best linemen in the state for the class. His size, great footwork and much improved strength. Solid run blocker and is becoming a much better pass protector. Keep your eye on this quality football talent. He has just scratched the surface.
Ja’Corey Stephens, C/G, 6’1, 265, Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy – 3.7. When you have the opportunity to watch prospects in the off-season, you have that chance to see development and growth, and in this emerging talent, he was special from the first time watching him play. He is worker. Takes no plays off and will give you an option of playing guard or center at the next level. He plays this game with plenty of passion and his technique is what separates him from the rest.
Anterrio Thornton Jr., G/T/C, 6’2, 280, Miami Central. If you trace the recent history of the Rockets, you will find that the success they have achieved on offense is a direct reflection on the line. They have had more than their share of elite difference makers in the trenches. As Derrick Gibson comes in as head coach, he will inherit this young man who has the chance to emerge as one of the elite prospects in the state. He is strong, quick, athletic and never stops doing his job until the play is blown dead. Elite potential who has two full years to continue getting better and watching his stock rise. Do not sleep on him!
