Samuel is a wide receiver prospect that I was impressed with how twitchy he is from start to finish on his route as one that I can already see progressing higher up our 2027 rankings out of what is a deep WR class out of Sioux Falls Washington. His athletic movement also intrigues me as a route-runner, as one that it would be great if I could get a pro agility time on his at camps this summer. Samuel shows off well-versed hands with not only how quick he gets his hands around but shows the football IQ to find the first down markers with some good ease on his reps. The intent that this young man plays with his game speed is very intriguing in these eyes.

I can tell from his freshmen season to sophomore season, that Huron wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1264217' first='Jeremy' last='Hofer'] is trending in the right direction. I surely noticed an uptick of more suddenness with his burst and more instincts popping out with his solid hands on his routes. He also shows off an intriguing catch radius for his size which goes much longer than what you might see as a 5'10 slot receiver. He is another one I will say has the next-level football pedigree at his disposal, as his older brother [player_tooltip player_id='797957' first='Kolby' last='Hofer'] committed to Northwestern (Iowa) as one of the state's bigger tackle monsters at linebacker.

Next up we look at one of the top kickers in the Dakotas in the 2027 class as another young man out of Sioux Falls Washington has caught our eyes in [player_tooltip player_id='1264212' first='Ryder' last='Dobberpuhl']. I can tell that Ryder has some good muscle in the kicks I have watched and even though he is still developing for a higher hangtime from his recent tape, you can tell he always has the depth I like on his field goals regardless. Hopefully one that I can see more updated tape in the meantime to see where his development has grown even further.

Thomas's name comes up again within our rankings countdown, up from the watchlist to our QB6 in the class, as a 2027 quarterback out of Spearfish that you can tell quick has a sound and developing chemistry with his receivers. He shows off excellent precision and consistently on tape which gets his wide receivers ahead of the secondary with sound ease. There is more persistency brewing with Thomas and his quick release as he seems like a quarterback that can grow on all three levels of the field. Right now he shows off upside with his touch as I see some wiggle room for growth in that skillset to make it more fluid, but no doubt this young man has the arm strength overall to grow in this 2027 class as one I like the chances of playing on Saturdays.
