Nathan got on my radar at our last Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine as one that was in my top-tier within the linebacker group in Aberdeen this winter, landing in our top 60 and in my eyes rising. He has massive hands for his 5'10 185 pound frame that measured in as one of the biggest amongst linebackers at the combine. Load up the tape on Nathan and you will see plenty of pure instincts with his movement getting to the ball as a middle linebacker that also shows off an evident amount of range from the getco. Most subscribers should know by now how much I like the meshing at linebacker with a wrestling background, and that is the case with Nathan as he shows off all the physicality you want when he loads up his physicality. Seeing Nathan in pass coverage, you can grasp his athletic movement in his steps he takes as again, the constance of his instincts look pure. One that I like having a great shot to riser up our 2027 SD board. I think this young man has a great shot to play at the next-level

If Gavin's older brother is any indication of how an OL prospect could rise at the college-level going from DWU to SDSU, I'll take a good shot on Gavin as just an incoming junior to rise up. He might not have hit his growth spurt yet, but the versatility he shows off on tape as a run-blocker intrigues me as I like the fluidity in his footwork and a quick and well-padded punch on pull-blocking reps. Gavin also wastes no time getting downhill leverage persistently into the second level. I can tell on both sides of the line, Gavin's hands do the dirty work as this kid looks brings the blue-collar mentality I like from the dudes in the trenches. Surely one that looks already like a prospect that can play on Saturdays and a probable riser by next update.

Luke is a newcomer to our 2027 rankings out of Aberdeen Roncalli and one that honestly impresses me not just as a wide receiver, but on both sides of the ball. He shows off a ton of agile movement off the top of his route, which shows how well he can create early seperation. He also does it at 6'2 165 pounds, with plenty of room to grow in the weight room as an incoming junior. From a development standpoint, I believe Luke can create more durability getting yards after the catch which is an upside to grow on in the coming years as the athleticism is surely there especially on intermediate routes. Position flexibility is there for the taking too, as I could grasp quickly with every rep that this young man has a great nose for the ball.

Gunner got on my 2027 radar late with our 2027 rankings update, but one that left an impact as a sophomore out New Underwood. The 5'10 175 pounder, shows off a solid early burst once he gets to the inside box and shows off a sound knack with his vision with his north-south running ability. If the first three reps on tape are any indication, Gunner went basically untouched on his path to the end zone as one that wastes no time showing off his instincts. The linebacker tape also seals the deal of why I ranked Gunner as an athlete, as his balance on both sides of the ball trends well with his position flexibility as he has quick processing read steps transitioning quickly downhill to the ball. He also is more comfortable in pass coverage than you would expect out of a small school prospect. He might be undersized, but man is this a young man out of West River that impresses me with his football IQ as a small town hidden gem.

Graham was a new name that got on our radar last Spring at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine at Augustana as one to me, has flexibility on defense for muliple positions. The live reps is where Graham has made an impact in our eyes as one that has a persistent growing of his football IQ. I remember Graham being an athlete that gets better with the more reps we saw as one that can quickly processing new information with his attention to detail thru coaching which solidified during our one on ones last time. One that I surely need to see new tape out there to rise up our 2027 SD board.
