He is an excellent cover corner in man coverage and is physical at the line while showing he can quickly flip his hips and is a natural peddler in transition. Wright shows good ball skills and breaks quickly to ball carriers in space, and explodes through contact when making tackles. He's not afraid to come up and make plays behind the line or in the box and is a very physical player on the perimeter or when setting the edge. He flashes the ability to come up and set the edge in space, and is able to make plays behind the line with closing speed and is a terrific open field tackler. He shows he can take on blocks on the perimeter and is not afraid to come up and shock linemen and run through contact at the POA. In coverage, he is smooth in transition and can cover bigger receivers and backs out of the backfield/has good throw anticipation and natural instincts before triggering into the flats. He is explosive off the ball with a variety of pass rush moves at his disposal and shows good bend, initial hand violence with the ability to counter back inside when needed. He has a well built frame with some potential to keep adding weight and should be 225+ by the time he graduates. He has good tracking abilities offensively and can stretch the field and make contested catches with high point abilities. Defensively, he is fluid in transition and brakes quickly the ball carriers with return abilities and open field vision/ covers ground quickly. Although still developing his technique, he has good anchor strength and is athletic enough to two gap and quickly gets off blocks at the first level.
