PA Classic 7v7: Need to Know Standout Performers

No surprise he was rated #9 top skill performer on the weekend in Vic's Top 40 list. He made big time catch after big time catch for AA Elite. Jonathan showed great body control and hands going up and moss'ing defenders and making tough catches. That crossed over to the defensive side as well showing anticipation and ball skills to break on pass, go get it, and make a clean sideline interception. Jonathan plays with quick feet and nice twitch, able to get himself open, and has excellent ball tracking abilities and plays bigger than his size. A big target at 6'4" 205, McGrath was able to work the middle of the field all day long as well as proving an excellent red zone option. He showed strong hands, catching the ball in stride, away from his chest, and able to find the soft spot in the defense to get open. With oily hips he can quickly flip and change direction to stay with the receiver. Smooth and fluid in his backpedal, Pack has no wasted steps/momentum and can transition out of breaks with nice burst. He has great ball and positioning skills to always be in the right spot to make the play on the pass. After having 8 interceptions his freshman year, honestly I could see that number going down because I think teams are going to just not throw his way. Mainly playing at Safety, he showed nice range and ability to close and come downhill to the ball quickly. I liked his play recognition ability and leadership skills out there, basically being a coach on the field for the defense. Amir missed most of his junior year with injuries but look for him to have a strong showing at summer camps and put it together this fall for his senior year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
