NY ’26 Defensive Showstoppers

The motor that Lossman operates with was fun to watch on film as he redirects himself multiple times in chasing defenders. The versatility to slide to the edge will show, especially when attacking with his hands and speed. Getting around blocks with speed was key for Lossman. Undoubtedly, the athleticism to travel sideline-to-sideline was a major standout in his game. The quickness to fly into gaps and make TFLs excelled. In fashion, the coverage ability in space and reacting to screen passes was a major talent. The ability that Clemons-Butenko has coming off the edge was evidently fast and strong when blitzing. Additionally, he can set the edge with strength. Not an overly athletic LB and leans heavily on his power. Dellarosa is a physical LB that will be a secure tackler once he gets his hands on the opponents. Additionally, the quickness to read and react, Bennet had a strict knack to pick up screens in a hurry at the LB position. By the same token, keeping his integrity for the A gaps and make TFLs electric. Formerly, the play strength to battle and fight to stop the run game is what Colon is successful in doing on the defensive line. There are examples of him being able to provide pushback into the pocket because of the natural power and size. Undoubtedly, the quickness to block shed off of his opponents would show up at a good value, especially when granted the opportunities lined up in the 3-technique. Presently, Crowley comes off the snap of the football with a lot of speed and passion. The quick hands that he puts on OTs allowed Crowley great separation. Coupled with his quickness, he also has good strength in the fight against the run. Did make TFLs behind the LOS. Showing balance at the edge and in space was key for him on multiple occasions. The ability to stay balanced at the POA and then attack upon ball carriers with aggressiveness was evident. Even more, being quick, active, and running with a high motor around the bend of OT's was a huge part of Pettit's game. This is a pass rusher that will get violent with his hands and is not afraid to use them with pass rush moves such as swim and rip moves.
