When PrepRedzoneMN caught up with the athletic and sure-tackling Hill-Murray DB [player_tooltip player_id='1255892' first='Levi' last='Grigson'] earlier this month, the 6', 190 lber. was fresh off a visit to Ypsilanti to check out the Eastern Michigan Eagles program. Grigson told us after the visit, "I have a lot of respect for the program Coach Creighton has built there and liked the coaching staff a lot." The Eagles also happened to be Grigson's first offer, a life-changing moment for the versatile junior. Grigson mentioned that the first offer was a great moment, and " It made me feel like everything I worked so hard for paid off but also motivated me to continue to improve." He also mentioned that the fact that EMU offered first does play a role in his potential commitment and decision, as "they are the first school that believed in me and took a chance on me which means a lot to me." With an offer and visit already under his belt to Ypsilanti, keep an eye on EMU in this budding talent's recruitment.

Grigson, whose father played at Purdue and is the Vikings' VP if Player Personnel, also mentioned that he "visited Air Force in the fall for a gameday and that was a great experience. I really like the tradition and brotherhood they have there. Both schools [EMU and Air Force] have a demand for academic excellence, which is important to me when going through the recruiting process. I have not yet been to the Citadel but I know that they have a great program." Grigson, in addition to his utility as a defensive back, is a standout lacrosse athlete, a sport with burgeoning and impressive data when it comes to multi-sport success translating to next-level talent and projection on the recruiting trail. The Pioneers standout also noted that he has "been talking to Eastern Michigan, Air Force, Wisconsin, NDSU, Minnesota, Army, Central Michigan, and Colgate." When talking to coaches from the various D1 suitors, Grigson is hearing that, "coaches like the versatility of my game. They like that I can play down in the box but also cover well."

The future collegiate safety is also fresh off unofficial visits to SDSU, NDSU, Minnesota, and Indiana, and with the all-important junior year summer bright on the horizon, Grigson mentioned to PRzMN that, "I haven't figured out my camp schedule but am working on it." Talk about boxes checked! Grigson is a big-time name to know going into the summer camp circuit for Minnesota's recruiting fanatics, leading the charge in one of Minnesota's best top-end defensive back classes in recent memory. Go Pioneers!
