Film Room: 2026 North Suburbs Wide Receivers

During the offseason we will be breaking down the film of all the top prospects from across the state ahead of our massive 2026 rankings update in the upcoming months!  Here is a look at some of the wide receivers in the 2026 class in Film Room: 2026 North Suburbs Wide Receivers!    Owens is a 6'2" 170 pound pass catcher that missed part of the season with an injury.  What he did put on tape showcases why he is among the best wide receivers in the class.  Smooth downfield threat gliding past defensive backs for big plays.  Tracks the ball well in the air.  Like how he gets leverage against his opponents on slant routes and quick outs.  Snatches the ball with his hands and goes from catch to run smoothly.     Really impressive tape from Lavista.  The 6'3" 185 pound pass catcher from Libertyville has good size and athleticism.  What jumps off the tape is his ability to rack up yards after the catch.  Runs with a combination of power, strength, and speed.  Crisp route runner that wins off the line vs press.  Downfield he tracks well and consistently makes acrobatic catches in the air.  Makes catches in traffic over the middle and gets involved on gadget plays.     Bostick brings a ton of juice and speed to the table!  Smooth route runner that is a vertical threat with his ability to catch the ball over his shoulder.  He jukes defenses with double moves on the regular.  Slippery with the ball in his hands after the catch.  Shifty and tough to bring down. Quickness out of the  slot and is adept at being a playmaker in gadget plays.     Cichy is a 6'1" 185 pound pass catcher from Prospect who recently committed to Harvard. His body control and ability to make acrobatic catches on the sideline is impressive. Length allows him to high point passes in the end zone. Crisp route runner that jukes defenders out of shoes on double moves.     D'Alessandro is a big bodied 6'4" pass catcher that didn't play this past season after transferring from Whitney Young to Maine South.  He is also a legit hooper as well.  Strong hands and is effective on shorter routes.  Tough to bring down.  Could even be used as a H-back or TE.     Carlson is a 6'1" 170 pound slot receiver from Grayslake Central.  He has a ton of speed and is a plus athlete.  Tracks the ball downfield and makes contested catches on a consistent basis with his hands and body control.  Gets yards after catch.  Sound route runner that works well over the middle.     Ziga stands at 5'11" and 155 pounds.  The smaller wide out works best out of the slot.  He is effective on jet sweep runs, splitting the defense down the middle.  Creates separation on tough catches.  Makes grabs in traffic and can move the chains as a possession WR.     This Amundsen 6'1" and 175 pound wide receiver displays very good body control and hands making acrobatic catches. Gets leverage vs defensive backs. Good on short routes snatching the ball out of air. Best as a chain mover!     Dahl is a big and physical 6'4" 215 pound wide receiver. Boxes out on slant routes. Crisp routes on short passes as a chain mover. Willing blocker that could transition into an H-back or TE.     Currie is a 5'9" 180 pound pass catcher from Hampshire that is a smooth athlete.  Solid hands, finds soft spots in the defense, and makes impact plays on jet sweeps.
