YORK | Saturday's Carolinas Coaches Combine at York served as the kickoff to the spring season as we inch closer to spring practice and the summer of camps and 7-on-7s. The future is bright for the underclassmen throughout the state of South Carolina, and we got to see a running back who walked away with an award as well as a quarterback who we will be interested to watch going forward.

Here's a look at 12 standouts on offense and defense from the Class of 2027 during the individual and competition sessions of the Carolinas Coaches Combine:

RUNNING BACKS

Tyquan Brice | South Pointe

Brice showed good leg movement moving from bag to bag during the individual period. He has good explosiveness once he finds the open hole.

Preston Wilder | Palmetto

Wilder did a good job of showing good ball security as he moved, without sacrificing speed or power.

[player_tooltip player_id='1603697' first='Zymier' last='Gordon-Miles'] | Northwestern

Gordon Miles had the fastest Pro Shuttle time as we mentioned in our earlier article, but we had a chance to watch him during the individual drills. He does a good job of planting his foot and bursting through the hole to make things happen.

DEFENSIVE BACKS / LINEBACKERS

[player_tooltip player_id='1608770' first='Tyler' last='Robinson'] | Nation Ford

The ability for Robinson (pictured above) to be able to track the ball and make a play was impressive to watch. He made plays on the ball and has good technique in being able to stay in phase with his receivers.

Zahyden Carter | South Pointe

Carter made an excellent jam on the receiver, showing good form and he did not allow the receiver to get inside of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1271263' first='KJ' last='Burg'] | South Pointe

Burg did a nice job of staying in phase with the receiver to knock the ball away during the competition period. He came back a few plays later not allowing the receiver to get separation without interfering.

Boone Phillips | Palmetto

Phillips showed good recovery speed against a receiver to make a play on the ball.

QUARTERBACKS / WIDE RECEIVERS

[player_tooltip player_id='429920' first='Sam' last='Holliday'] | QB | Fountain Inn

Holliday's ability to step into his throws is impressive. He made one completion to Brice where only he could catch it and the defender was right on top of him. The ball came out perfectly.

Trevor Kinard | QB | Blackville-Hilda

Kinard made an excellent throw, dropping it right in the bread basket. The receiver, Rock Hill's [player_tooltip player_id='1809631' first='Connor' last='Clawson'], ran a good route in creating separation from the defensive back to go right underneath it and catch it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1809651' first='Max' last='Clyburn'] | TE / H-Back | Brookland-Cayce

Clyburn made one catch in particular that caught our eye, where he shielded the ball away from the defender so he couldn't come in and bat it away.

[player_tooltip player_id='1811040' first='Leonard' last='Pressley'] | WR | American Leadership

Pressley did an excellent job of making a catch during the competition period with a defender draped over him.

Kameron Wilson | WR | Rock Hill

Wilson ran a post route exceptionally well for a score on the last play of the competition session as the day wrapped up.
