We take a look at the new 2028 Minnesota rankings and take a look at some 2028s that are new to our radar are in line tonight to get first exposure with a scouting report on their game and what they bring to the table, what their upside is, etc.

Talk about a hybrid DB/LB that wastes no time wreaking havoc in the passing lanes, as we meet my first up and comer in the 2028 class in Jayden Weatherspoon out of DeLaSalle. The 6'1 175 pounder for the Islanders, shows off the body type that projects a wingspan that appears long what his measurables show you and my gut tells me that Jayden might not be done growing as just a 2028 prospect. I was more impressed than I thought I would be from Jayden with his pursuit angles getting down and into the ball carrier as he showed off well-versed difficulty getting off blocks with his agile movement. A 2028 target that to me projects as a future safety that I feel could play at either safety spot in the secondary. Find me this young man a Twitter!

Parker shows off a quarterback in a running back's body type and make no mistake about it, I was quite impressed with this kid's elusiveness and sudden burst from the first look. The throwing reps are light, but Parker does have solid arm strength for intermediate routes that we will need to see how his arm talent plays out with plenty more reps incoming as just a freshmen. I came away impressed at Parker's escapability for his 5'9 155 pound frame as he seems to process quickly with his football IQ showing off sneaky vision around the edges. Parker seems like one that could project to running back in the future with the Wildcats, as I would be intrigued to see this young man at a camp and get some testing numbers on him as I was impressed with the speed and change of direction. Another one I yet haven't found on Twitter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657450' first='Easton' last='Zimmerman'], LB, Minneapolis Washburn Twitter

The tape might be light for the 6'0 200 pound linebacker of the Washburn Millers, but it's what Easton shows off on tape is what impressed me. He wastes no time with his vision and good and developing football IQ getting to the point of attack showing off ample quick fluidity and ideal placement with his athletic movement. He might not be the fastest linebacker I have ever seen yet in a freshmen class, but you can gauge that Easton gets to the ball or ball carrier with good and solid upside to grow his instincts further. Easton's biggest development he can make in my eyes is improving his foot speed and bringing over his quick processing in stopping the run to the passing game as his instincts could carry over quicker than you would expect in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1655356' first='William' last='Kutz'], DL, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Twitter

William might be just a 2028 target at the moment, but when you roll the tape running into William gives off similarities to running into a mack truck based on how quickly he is to get his hands on the ball carrier. The 6'1 180 pounder from HLWW, possesses great short area vision that I see even more upside to grow with three more years of varsity reps at his disposal with the Lakers. Watching the way William processes downhill and the highly ideal sudden twitch, I could see William growing into an EDGE rusher or an outside linebacker over the next handful of years depending on how his height and frame grow out. Surely a small school hidden gem that is trending up in my eyes on our 2028 rankings board.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657516' first='Xaiver' last='Jallah'], ATH, Coon Rapids Twitter

Xaiver is a raw 2028 prospect at the moment, but you can see the bright spots are especially in my eyes as a cornerback that played sub-varsity reps as a freshmen. Xaiver shows off good ball-tracking ability for his age and I was impressed with how sudden he was coming back to the ball especially on a route that seemed to bring a higher difficulty for the corner to get back to promptly which Xaiver read it and got in front of it for an interception. The 5'7 150 pounder from Coon Rapids, does well in the open field at tailback as one that has a suddeness once he sees an open lane or sees he has to change speeds to get thru a high-traffic area. I also will say Xaiver is way more durable than you would expect from his size as it seems consistent on most of the reps I watched that you need more than one to drag this young man down to the turf.
