Below are a handful of prospects that have emerged from the watchlist and subsequently shot up the rankings during this most recent update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1294262' first='Josiah' last='Ware'] was a two-way lineman this last season out of Teaneck. However, caught my eye on both sides of the ball. As a defender he gets a solid punch and creates separation from his matchup, holding both his gap and his adjacent gap down in the process. Additionally, Ware chases pulling guards well, scrapes down the line flat when backside, and will cross face to get back into plays. As an offensive prospect, we see Ware possess good leg drive on down blocks, while also start to bend his back and body upward. As a pass protecter, kick steps are solid, but Ware is even better at having the sense of urgency when to recovery.

When it comes to first steps, [player_tooltip player_id='1258706' first='Julian' last='Anderson'] might have one of the bests. Anderson capitalizes on this initial step of his get off in order to surf and play read option very effectively. I would describe him as a bit of a faster player, which allows him to be disruptive and get a organic pass rush rather than a technical one. With his height, Anderson can also jump high in order to block kicks and deflect passes alike. I like Anderson as a raw prospect. I suspect that the right program with the right staff could bring the very best out of him.

I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the film of [player_tooltip player_id='599571' first='Julian' last='Matera'], quarterback at Notre Dame. Matera has strong lower-half fundamentals. He steps into his throws well and transfers his weight even better. These mechanics allow Matera to get some really spicy mustard on the ball at in tight windows. Likewise, he can take something off of it and gently loft it on the deep ball in good places where his guys can catch-and-run with it. His arm strength also shows itself when he is jumping and moving backwards, too. Timing with his receivers is something he has shown as well, such as when he connects on back-shoulder throws near the front of the pylon. Matera has the ability to duck-and-run and the smarts to evade danger and slide to safety. I thought Matera threw a very good deep ball and he is happy to take a big hit in the name of getting the ball out to his teammates.

Yes, we all know about the greatness of [player_tooltip player_id='341839' first='Mark' last='Boyd'], but Boyd might not have been the most explosive skill player on his Union City last fall. That honor might just belong to [player_tooltip player_id='1466376' first='Kingston' last='Evans']. Evans was one of the Soaring Eagles' primary return man where he had the opportunity to showcase his speed, vision, and ability to set up blockers. I thought that on defense he played cover 2 read well. His ability to break on the ball is what gives him an advantage when playing this coverage. A trademark of a Union City defense, Evans is a good tackler that gets low, wraps, and drives his feet. Lastly, it appears as though nobody can get behind him when tested deep.
