Madness was in the air over the weekend and not just on the hardwood. With each tournament that passes by, the competition level in the 7-On-7 circuit continues to rise. It's very easy to tell that these prospects have been putting in serious work since the ‘24 campaign concluded, and their standout performances cannot go without mentioning.

I kept my eye out for some Weekend Warriors the past few days, and a few coaches along with players were also kind enough to suggest some names. This is the group of five that really turned heads. Check out their highlights from the action.

X account: @ENaidu9

The 6th ranked tight end in our Class of ‘26 rankings has looked impressive through multiple tournaments now, and this past weekend was more of the same. He came up with a few nice grabs, and was able to showcase his ability to get separation off the line. He's likely to be more involved in Olathe North's offensive scheme during his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1645149' first='Corey' last='Trigg'] - Wichita East, 5'11”, 170, WR, Unranked

Trigg is a prospect our staff is going to need to look into. The junior made some very impressive catches in this highlight reel. He's coming off a strong ‘24 campaign where he hauled in 22 receptions for 420 yards and four touchdowns out of the slot. If he continues to impress throughout the offseason then he'll be a prime candidate for the next rankings update.

There's a reason why Johnson is regarded as one of the top prospects in our Class of ‘27 rankings. His performance over the weekend was yet another example. Here in these clips he found the end zone multiple times, which has been a common theme for him during the 7-On-7 season. He's received several camp invites this month, and even received his first offer back in February.

Up next is a young gunslinger that could eventually be throwing to Johnson on the varsity stage. Melton received rave reviews for his performance in the 15U competition, which makes sense because he was absolutely dealing in this highlight video. He's another unranked prospect our staff will need to take a look at.

Zambo is another highly ranked prospect in our rankings, and he showed why over the weekend. The freshman played great on both sides of the ball, and he helped lead Strongside KC 15U to a tournament championship.
