The Prep Redzone 7-on-7 Series has made its way to Tennessee this weekend, with the action taking place at Smyrna High School. Day 1 featured an impressive showcase of talent, with standout performances from both individual players and teams. The competition was fierce, and several prospects made their mark with dynamic playmaking on both sides of the ball.

As we reflect on the first day of action, it's clear that tomorrow's matchups will be just as exciting, with plenty of teams looking to build momentum and players aiming to elevate their performances even further. With that in mind, here are some key teams and players to keep an eye on as we head into Day 2 of the tournament.

Teams to watch:

Playmakers Elite (2-1)
This squad is stacked with elite athletes across the board, boasting size, speed, and length at every position—making them a nightmare matchup for opposing teams. Their team name couldn't be more fitting, as they feature a roster full of dynamic playmakers capable of turning any snap into a game-changing moment. With so many big-play threats on both sides of the ball, they will be a tough challenge for anyone lining up against them.

Mid TN Wolfpack Blue (3-0)
This team consistently found ways to win, making the right plays at the right moments throughout the day. Their ability to execute under pressure and capitalize on opportunities set them apart from the competition. A big reason for their success is the two solid quarterbacks, who efficiently distribute the ball and put their playmakers in positions to succeed. Both showcased strong decision-making, accuracy, and poise, allowing the offense to operate smoothly. With a balanced attack and a knack for making clutch plays, this team will be a tough challenge for anyone they face moving forward.

Bruins 27 Gold (3-0)
Despite being one of the younger teams in the tournament, the Brentwood Bruins played with poise and confidence. Their strong performance earned them the No. 1 seed heading into tomorrow's matchups, and they showed no signs of backing down against older competition. Many players took on roles on both sides of the ball and excelled, demonstrating their versatility and toughness. One of the smartest teams in this year's tournament, the Bruins stood out with their disciplined play, smart ball movement, and ability to take care of possessions—key factors in their dominant run so far.

Team BluePrint (2-1)
This Indiana squad came into the tournament with something to prove, and they backed it up with strong play throughout today. They are led by a talented group of wide receivers who create mismatches all over the field with their route-running, speed, and ability to make contested catches. At the helm, their quarterback is a true field general, delivering accurate passes and making smart decisions to keep the offense moving efficiently. With their dynamic passing attack and ability to stretch the field, this team has been a tough matchup for defenses and will be one to watch as the tournament progresses.

270 Made (1-2)
This squad is a true sleeper team heading into tomorrow's bracket play. With playmakers spread across the field, they have the firepower to put up points in a hurry. Their quarterback play has been among the best in the tournament, providing a steady and dynamic presence. With a combination of strong decision-making and precision passing, their offense can be a serious problem for opposing defenses. Don't be surprised if this team catches fire and makes a deep run tomorrow.

Players to watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='834613' first='Robert' last='Bailey'] - Shelbyville Central TN (2026)
Rob proved today that he is far more than just a running back—he's a true all-around playmaker. He showcased his versatility by catching passes with ease and locking down opposing wide receivers on defense. No matter where he lined up, he found ways to make an impact, serving as a do-it-all player for his team. His ability to read the game, anticipate plays, and always be in the right position stood out. What impressed me the most was his crisp route-running, showing a level of polish that made him a tough cover for defenders. Rob's performance today proved he's a dynamic athlete who can shine in multiple roles.

Cam Wade - East Nashville TN (2027)
Cam is a constant threat whenever he's on the field, showcasing his big-play ability with explosive speed and natural playmaking instincts. On offense, he's a game-changer with his ability to stretch the field, while on defense, he's a lockdown corner, using his size and length to shut down opposing receivers. Despite being one of the younger players in the tournament, he plays with confidence and poise beyond his years. Cam was simply everywhere today, making plays on both sides of the ball and proving he has a bright future ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id='1596007' first='Durelle' last='Loggins'] Jr. - North Hardin KY (2026)
This Kentucky quarterback can flat-out play. His smooth mechanics and natural touch on the ball make him stand out, and he consistently delivers throws with precision. What really impressed me was his anticipation skills, reading defenses and making quick, smart decisions under pressure. He's a true competitor, showing a strong desire to win and elevate his team's play. With college-level size and a big arm, he has all the tools to succeed at the next level. Today, he made a series of smart, well-placed throws, proving he's a name to watch moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='480839' first='Brock' last='Taylor'] - Nashville Christian TN (2026)
It was clear from the start that Brock was the go-to guy for his team. He runs smooth, precise routes, creating separation with ease, and his strong hands and big catch radius make him nearly unstoppable. Anything thrown his way rarely touches the ground, as he consistently hauls in tough catches with confidence. His quick-twitch athleticism allows him to make sharp cuts and explosive plays, making him a nightmare for defenders. Simply put, Brock is an absolute baller and a player to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1528452' first='Joshua' last='Bolden'] - Davidson Academy TN (2026)
Josh is a tough, gritty player who brings a lot of heart to the field. Whether it's going up for a contested catch or locking down a wide receiver, he excels in both areas. As high school teammates with his quarterback, there's a clear chemistry between them, which makes him the go-to guy when a big play is needed. Josh's consistency is a major strength, as he's always ready to step up in key moments. With his quick release off the line and strong hands, he's the kind of player every team wants—someone you can count on to make plays when it counts.
