Running Backs to watch out for in the offseason

In this edition, we cover some running backs that you need to know about this offseason as they'll look to be key contributors to their schools under those Friday night lights. Who are they? Let's find out!    Larson might be on the smaller side but he makes up for it in explosivity. He is a jitterbug who showcases good homerun threat each time he possesses the ball. Larson has excellent lateral quickness and showcases good elusiveness in the open field to make guys miss. He is a willing between-the-tackles runner who showcases more physicality than one might anticipate. Larson will lower his pad level, work for the tough yards, and has good contact balance. He is a decisive runner who uses his quickness to find the open area and get to the edges. Larson is a good receiving back and doesn't fight with the ball. He's a sneaky back in the class and one that should catch some eyes.     Mailei has a good size and frame, he should get to 210+ lbs. He is a versatile athlete who can play running back, wildcat, and wide receiver, and can line up as an edge rusher and safety if needed. Mailei showcases good lateral explosiveness and has excellent movement patterns. He shows good quickness and overall speed. Mailei is a twitched-up athlete who displays good hands and ball-tracking skills. He's an overall playmaker and should get looked at regionally in recruiting.     Tolman shows good physicality for his size and his frame should be able to handle additional weight. He shows good patience behind the line and doesn't panic when a hole doesn't open up, he presses the line and will use his vision to find the open hole. Tolman has good lateral movement and uses that to his advantage as he can make defenders miss and get into space. He does a good job at getting to the second level and he displays good contact balance and making defenders miss. Tolman shows good hands in the receiving game and is an outlet for his quarterback. He uses his vision in open space with the ball in his hands to pick up chunk yards after the catch.     Chlarson is a good athlete who is long for the position. He showcases his willingness to run between the tackles and has the speed to get to the edge and hit the runway. Chlarson has good vision and lateral quickness, along with a good quick initial burst. His calling card is his receiving work and should be used as a space creator where they get him in motion and sweeps for swing passes where he can create in the open field. Chlarson has soft hands and will run wheel routes and get downfield. His hands are what separates him from other running backs and is effective on key third downs because of that threat.     Parry has a good frame and can add on some additional weight to fill out his frame and would compliment his style of running. He is more of a physical runner with good vision and displays contact balance. Parry has a good burst to get through the first level and he works well in open space. He shows hands to be used in the passing game and is a multi-sport athlete.
