The Punishers based out of New York brought a few teams to the Duel in the DMV tournament - I caught both their 18u and 15u play games, which was great to get eyes on some prospects. Their 18u team had some young and older prospects, but their 15u had some intriguing 2028s that I will keep an eye on going forward.

Punishers 18u

The Fordham signee was not just one of the plethora of Division 1 bound players in attendance but he was one of the most impactful throughout the tournament.

Worrell has elite explosiveness his ability to separate with those explosive movements but also consistently attack the ball in the air with strong hands and a strong vertical stood out.

Won't go too deep into Worrell's ability as a Class of '25 commit but no doubt he is going to excel at Fordham - he repped Williston Northhampton this past season after a very impressive career at Archbishop Stepinac.

Hong was a completely new prospect to me. On a four-second QB clock, there were many reps where he was able to get to his second and third read and deliver within the timing and structure of a concept.

For a player I did not know about beforehand, came away impressed with Hong's Performance.

Simmons was the most physically imposing player in the 18u group of the tournament, and as a 2027, he has a really high ceiling - additionally, he is one of the few prospects who likely is an EDGE/DE as his first position but made some nice plays offensively.

Simmons made some tough catches. His size was a clear advantage in a lot of reps, but I was impressed with his overall movement skills and hands.

Simmons is the type of player for whom all it takes is a couple of plays to impress you; his physical traits and movement skills stand out as he is just scratching the surface of the type of football player he can be as his development continues.

Sims was one of the best 2028 at the entire tournament just based on his physique alone—he will continue to grow, and that's why he is a TE/DE prospect, but he played mostly a WR position at the tournament.

Sims has a really high ceiling as an athlete. His ability to move, how loose his lower half is, and his vertical all stood out at different points of the tournament. I really liked what I saw from Sims, who was playing up with the 18u.

He is from Irvington, NY, and is one of the best young prospects in the state. He plays his high school ball at Suffield Academy, which had a few really talented NY prospects on its roster last season.

Punishers 15u

Harrison was a player who made some plays for the Punishers 15u squad, but I was really impressed with his physical profile as a 2028 kid.

The Stepinac WR has great length and flashes some good ball skills and the ability to get vertical. Movement skills were promising and is an intriguing young prospect to keep tabs on in NY.

Another Stepinac WR/DB, Jones, looked physically great as well for a 2028 prospect. He showed a quick release and has the physical build to be a prospect at the next level.

I did not catch many 15u games, but of the ones I did get to Currid stood out as one of the top QBs in that bracket.
