That is what [player_tooltip player_id='1529472' first='Aidan' last='Stieglitz'] is. Stieglitz was seemingly born to play fullback in the Wing-T with his huge, big body. Moreover, he also has the skills of a traditional tailback based on what he put on film. For as big as he is, Stieglitz manages to run low and with a forward lean, especially as he breaks through the line of scrimmage; also, in the same situation we see him protect the ball with two arms as he enters/exits the scrimmage line. Stieglitz is a tough-out to bring down if you do not properly wrap him up, with leverage, or low enough. As a lead blocker, Stieglitz's objective is to seek and destroy as shown on designed quarterback runs. Faster and more natural a runner than you would expect, Stieglitz also uses the stiff arm to his advantage.

A sneaky-good running back out of Pequannock last season was senior [player_tooltip player_id='1466365' first='Angelo' last='Cundiff']. Cundiff shows that he masterfully hits the jump cut to avoid low, would-be tacklers. As he makes his cuts, you noticed that he is a bit shiftier than you might expect. Discipline has been preached to this senior ball carrier, as Cundiff runs inside-out and avoids premature bounces. He also keeps his legs moving, which in turn allows him to break his share of tackles. The stiff arm is available to Cundiff to, as he combines this with his ability to stay balanced, typically forcing more than one defender to take him down.

The sign of a strong high school running back is when they show a distinct, second gear on film. For [player_tooltip player_id='1029743' first='Demetris' last='Williams'], he saves that gear for the open field to break off long runs. Williams was featured in a Wing-T offense as more of a utility back - as I would imagine Clayton looked to get him the ball as many different ways as possible. Although it was a questionable flag on film, Williams shows that he has the athletic ability to leap over another human being who is trying to tackle him. Cutback lane vision may not be tested at his next optical exam, but the tape shows Williams passes that test. We see him, even in a Wing-T offense, cut back for open lanes as he sees them. Should there not be an exit backside for Williams to escape through, he does a nice job jump-cutting as he presses non-existent holes until he can do so no longer. I think Williams profiles as a downhill, 1-cut runner in a spread offense in the future.

Toms River North may get all the attention in that region, but South certainly has their fair share of talent too. Enter: [player_tooltip player_id='1524386' first='Jake' last='Henehan']. Henehan is a back that runs with a forward lean and who uses the stiff arm to leverage defenders to the ground, sort of pushing off of them for a burst of leverage while he keeps going. Shifty, we see him make multiple effective cuts in the defenses latter two levels. Henehan breaks tackles by keeping his feet moving and generally protects the ball by pinning it to his chest. I think that Henehan's best ability or attribute his his vision in the intermediate levels of a defense where we see him make bounces and cut back. He is a quality back to have on your roster.

Class of 2025 Final Rankings Coverage

Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part I
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part II
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part III
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part IV
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part V
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part VI
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part VII
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part VIII
Film Evaluation Ranking Notes, Part IX
Ranking Risers, Part I
Watchlist Risers, Part 1
Must-See Film: Athletes, Part I
Must-See Film: Defensive Backs, Part I
Must-See Film: Defensive Linemen, Part I
Must-See Film: Linebackers, Part I
Must-See Film: Offensive Linemen, Part I
Must-See Film: Quarterbacks, Part I
Must-See Film: Running Backs, Part I
