The MD/DC/DE 2028 rankings just released and I take a deep dive into some of the biggest rankings risers in this update. Some of these risers are represented by guys who are in the tops of their position groups as well as some of the top 15 overall rated players. I got to see pretty much all these prospects live during the fall at games or practices and look forward to seeing more of them in the future.

Ashton had a 10+ spot jump from previous rankings up to the #2 overall spot. Chiles really came along as the season progressed, eventually taking a starting LB role and making 2nd team all WCAC as a freshman. He finished the year with 56 Tkls, 9 TFLs, 2.5 sacks and showed he can be a dominant player for GC.

With good size / build for a freshman LB and a frame Ashton has already added some good muscle and bulk since the season ended. I can see him end being a yoked up ~230lbs prospect by the time his senior year comes around. He plays fast & physical and is a strong tackler who can lay the wood. Shows quick hips & feet, able to re-direct in tight spaces to get past blockers and to the ball with pace. What I see from Ashton's game that lead to his rise in these rankings is his high football IQ . You see him diagnose plays swiftly, take good angles to the ball and is showing the signs of being able to run & lead a defense.

Currently holding just two Power 4 offers, from in state UMD and Syracuse....I will be shocked if that number does not increase this spring/summer. The younger brother of former Good Counsel LB Aaron Chiles, Ashton is on his way to being just as strong of a prospect. I see a lot to like in Ashton's potential in becoming an elite football player and can't wait to see his game ramp up next season.

Tyzon had a strong jump in rankings from the fall, moving into the top 10 and #2 overall DL. Saw him very early on in the fall and he went on to put together an impressive freshman season for Lackey.

Has all the measurables of Power 4 prospect already, Tyzon stands 6'4"+ and 235lbs with good length and lean frame. A high quality overall athlete being an all conference basketball player as well. Showing nice burst off the snap, getting into the backfield rapidly and consistently to make the play. He's got good bend and footwork, runs on his toes and has a high active motor.

It is no surprise Tyzon already holds six total Power offers as he looks every bit the part on the field. The size, build, length an athleticism are the building blocks that can allow Tyzon to become a national recruit as he develops.

The younger brother of top overall 2026 prospect & MD commit [player_tooltip player_id='1091984' first='Zion' last='Elee']...Tyrone is starting to make a name for himself after a strong freshman campaign.

Playing inside as an interior rush d-lineman, Tyrone plays with excellent bend, staying low at the POA and with great leverage. Displaying nice hand work and rush moves already for a freshman, Elee flashes a nice swim/rip and using he strength to get off blocks. Tyrone also plays with nice quickness and burst, able to get skinny & shoot inside blockers. He shows nice feet in tight spaces and overall nice movement and good motor. As he continues to get stronger and re-shape his frame, Elee will be a nightmare for offenses

Tyrone currently holds four Power 4 offers and should be garnering plenty more interest this spring/summer. A nice overall combo of power, explosiveness and positional skill makes Tyrone an intriguing prospect going forward.

Amir is a player I got to see live at practice early in the fall and based on his #13 overall ranking you can tell I liked what I saw. One of the biggest risers, he moved up almost 20 spots after having an electric freshman season.

An impact prospect across all 3 phases of the game, Amir had over 800 total yards, 5 TDs, 2 INTs, and was 1st Team All County. Extremely smooth with long legs and fluid stride coming from him being a track runner. Amir looks the part out there on the field at CB/WR or returner. Showing oily hips and able to change direction with no loss of speed/momentum, Amir is able to change speeds and create space for himself. At DB, he has great reactions; able to read the route, stay in the receivers hip and get his hands on the ball. He is also not afraid of contact and will come downhill and make the tackle. At WR and returner, Amir is able to just glide by defenders. Knows when to break down, run crips routes and accelerate for big plays. What possibly catches colleges eyes the most right now is Amir's speed. A 100M silver medalist in middle school in the junior olympics, and a recent 60M Indoor Freshman All American after running a 7.2 just the other week at the Adidas Track Nationals. He also finished 3 in the state for freshman with a 6.67 55M. With his combination of speed, fluidity, and football instincts, Amir is a very intriguing prospect going forward.

Holding two Power 4 offers from Pitt and Syracuse, he will be a must recruit prospect going forward. As Amir continues to grow, get stronger and develop he has the physical tools and football IQ to be a big riser in future 28 rankings.

Jordin made a slight jump in the rankings and is the #8 WR is a loaded receiver class. He is a player that I am really high on that could see big rankings jump as he continues to develop his all around game.

A player who looks every bit the part on the hoof, Jordin has a great build for a freshman. With a lean muscle up build and broad shoulders he will fill out his frame nicely and be a yoked up athlete. He is a twitchy athlete with impressive burst and acceleration. A dynamic route runner who can make plays across all 3 passing levels. Jordin also possesses high level speed, making him a great vertical down field threat. A track kid, he recently ran a 6.85 55M during indoor so he is up with there with some of the fastest freshman in the state.

Currently, Jordin only holds one offer from UMD, but I am sure he is on plenty of schools radars. Jordin has the size/frame and speed to become a high level prospect in the future.
