We're beginning to grasp who the potential future prospects are on the O/D line. In this article, I'll share my brief evaluations of several class of 2028 Offensive and Defensive lineman- most play both ways!

Good run-blocking tape at the JV level, and his game should translate well to the Varsity level. I especially like his first step, pad level, and drive. Against most high school defensive linemen, that's all you really need to beat them. Moving onto the Varsity level, I'm confident that Ethan will succeed.

As for potential recruiting, it's way too early to tell. I do not see Ethan as a Division 1 prospect right now, so his time to get recruited will probably come two years from now.

Elijah is probably more of a DT than he is an O-Lineman.

Look at that size, though! 6'3"-6'4" 265 is absolutely ideal for a DT. Plus, he has promising tape. Generally, Elijah shows good power and decent block shed. He's especially great against the inside run. Though, Elijah's getoff and overall explosiveness can be vastly improved. In addition, most of his highlights come against bad competition.

Considering his size, strength, and the reputation of Detroit MLK, I could see Elijah earning MAC offers this Spring.

Grant's 2024 tape is promising. With a lot of improvement this offseason, he could fight for a Varsity spot.

He did his job last season on the JV / Freshman team. A couple of good pancakes showing some power, and a couple decent pass blocks showing he can be a brick wall. Though, if Grant wants to be a great Varsity lineman, he needs to vastly improve his footwork and overall athleticism.

Watch list for now- hopefully Grant can earn a ranking by early next year!

All signs point toward Kameron being a rising star in the Groves program.

Offensively, Kameron was a solid JV tackle. I think he could move a lot faster, but I like how he locks onto his man and drives through the block.

Defensively, this is where Kameron was able to shine. His getoff is already on par with good Varsity DTs, and I like his lateral movement. Not yet a standout Varsity player, but an absolutely massive accomplishment to have played Varsity snaps as a Freshman in the OAA White.

Nico doesn't have a ton of tape, but I definitely have my eye on him moving forward. Also, all of his tape is at DT.

Nico's highlights show a couple of good getoffs and TFLs- I like how he moves, considering his size. Plus, 6'3" is the perfect height to continue to develop and grow as a defensive tackle or interior offensive lineman.
