Today, I'm looking at the next wave of talent in the trenches. In today's day and age, you have to be able to run the football and get after the passer. It's an accurate formula for team success. The youngsters featured in this article have not played a down at the high school level, however, they've shown an abundance of upside at the youth levels. Look for them to make a big impact for their respective programs over the next four years.

OL: Jack Wang, 6'2" 270

This kid plays with a chip on his shoulder, he can displace down linemen and is a rugged finisher. His legs never stop churning after initial contact, he's quick to the point of attack and is a firm striker. He plays through the echo of the whistle, has easy body control, shows a strong upper-half and is a knockdown machine. Right now he projects as a guard, but as he continues to grow and fill out, he could kick outside to tackle.

OL: Kobe Leblanc, 6'3" 255

Kobe has an edge to him, he'll drive defensive linemen downfield and look to bury them into the turf. He's got grappling hooks for hands and is tough to shed at the point of attack, he's got plenty of turnover in his leg drive and has the versatility to play all three spots on the offensive line. He's tough, dependable, and has proven success as both a zone and gap scheme blocker. He's someone you'll know very soon.

DL: K'von Fontenot, 6" 255

A fierce interior prospect with a great first step, heavy hands, and a menacing bull rush. He has the balance & body control to corral athletic quarterbacks behind the line, his bull rush gives linemen problems, he is a punishing tackler and can generate immediate penetration off the snap. This kid is so twitchy and physical, I love his upside.

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='1596283' first='Chase' last='Wilkins'], 6" 260

Wilkins has some serious pop to his punch, he can mix in a push-pull technique and has the strength to overpower just about any opponent. He moves well for someone his size, he can quickly disengage & fold back inside and will engulf ball carriers as a tackler. He's extremely productive against both the run and pass & has his best ball still ahead of him.
