Barber is ranked No. 37 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 rankings and is the sixth-ranked offensive lineman. He is doing a nice job of promoting himself with social media, and he is a role model for younger athletes wanting to utilize social media in the recruiting process. He has garnered the attention of such Division I programs as Missouri, Kansas State, and Iowa State.
