Evaluations On New Wide Receiver Additions to the 2027 Rankings

Gault is a fun player to watch on film. He's a receiver who can stretch the field and has the speed to run past defenders. He also has a good feel for selling route fakes to create separation. His real strength, in my opinion, is his ability to track and high-point the ball, even when facing contact. Not only does he have the athleticism to consistently get open he's the guy you can go too when you need to move the chains. He has the athleticism to make plays after the catch and shows a strong stiff-arm. Josiah holds offers from Toledo, Western Michigan, and Miami (OH).     Mallet is probably one of the more underrated wide receivers in Ohio. He has solid speed, but it's all of the other attributes that make him such a problem for defenses. Mallet understands defensive leverage and route running. He has the athleticism, physicality, and ball skills to execute at a high level. He has great spatial awareness and the body control to position himself to gain the advantage over defenders. He's also a player who can go up and make the high-wire catches. I like Mallet as a big slot at the next level. With some strong sophomore film, Charlie should start to get on recruiting radars this summer.     Huebner is a two-way player who plays both receiver and safety for the Warhawks. As a receiver, he has sneaky speed that allows him to get behind defenders. He has loose hips and does a great job of breaking off routes when defenders give him cushion. Cam also does a great job of extending his routes and making himself a target when plays break down. On defense, as a safety, he does a good job of anticipating throws and breaking on routes.     Miltenberger is another talented two-way player. As a wide receiver, he's a fluid route runner and a natural hands catcher, adept at securing the ball away from his frame. He effectively uses tempo to create separation from defenders. Miltenberger demonstrated a knack for finding the end zone, scoring eight touchdowns during the season.   On defense, Brylan plays safety, showcasing fluid hips and the speed to turn and run with receivers.     The speedy sophomore receiver for the Trojans made a strong impression this season. Imke projects as a slot receiver at the college level, showcasing the elite short-area quickness needed for the position. If defenders don't respect his speed, he has the ability to take it to the house.   Carter also demonstrates a natural feel for finding soft spots in zone coverage and settling into them. As he continues to grow bigger and stronger, his game will expand, allowing him to play through contact, absorb hits, and stay on his feet.     King is a twitchy receiver with explosive acceleration off the snap. His quick footwork allows him to create clean releases, and as he gets into his routes, he uses sharp breaks and burst to generate quick separation.   With the ball in his hands, King is a dynamic playmaker. The Rams utilize him in various ways, including Wildcat formations, bubble screens, and jet sweeps. In the run game, Larkyn is a willing blocker, adding value beyond his receiving skills. King looks poised for a breakout junior season.
