Kenmore West surprised a lot of people making the playoffs this past season and it was in no small part to Harlem, who accumulated over 1,500 yards from scrimmage and made one critical play after another.

Southwestern is not a school that gets a lot of recognition but one player that has been a one man wrecking crew is [player_tooltip player_id='1455309' first='Bradyn' last='Fuller']. He is exceptional in every facet of the game and can take a contest over with his unique combination of speed and power.

Rising the Ranks

Several RBs had breakout campaigns in 2024 but [player_tooltip player_id='1624583' first='Larry' last='Hardy III'] was the most notable. There were a lot of questions surrounding the Red Raiders ground attack heading into the season but Hardy delivered running for over 800 yards and earning All Catholic and All State awards. There is some movement with the St. Francis backfield and how Larry will be used as a senior is yet to be seen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1733083' first='Anthony' last='Moore'] from Kenmore East is another player that had a solid year. Anthony is a tough runner with breakaway speed. Kenmore East does not win a lot but they will call upon Moore quite a bit and he can deliver.

Players to Watch in 2025

[player_tooltip player_id='1344667' first='Jarod' last='Freeman'] from West Seneca West was a breakout candidate last season but a slow start and a season ending injury put an end to those hopes. Freeman still has the talent and the athletic ability to succeed and be a player teams will have to account for.

There were several juniors in 2024 that played an excellent complimentary role on their teams. [player_tooltip player_id='747256' first='Jimmy' last='Valentine'] from Bennett really came on big at times last season in a part time role. He has a low center of gravity and is difficult to bring down. Health Sciences had a three headed monster at RB and [player_tooltip player_id='747252' first='Kevin' last='Guy'] was a player that stood out in Class B. [player_tooltip player_id='217888' first='Dylan' last='Vaughn'] from Canisius is in the unfortunate state of playing behind arguably the best RB in NYS but he is a scat back that can make plays and could be a name to know as the season progresses.
