As most know, our staff has been planning a bit of a farewell tour for the Class of ‘25. We held off until after February so that we could truly highlight as many prospects as possible headed to the collegiate level. This final update for the Class of ‘25 does exactly that, as it features nearly 300 ranked players that have signed their letters of intent.

Normally I try to remove myself from my reports. But in this case, I wanted to express how extremely proud I am of these young men. Not long after I started with Prep Redzone Kansas the first Class of ‘25 rankings update was being developed. So I have essentially seen a majority of these prospects grow throughout their high school careers.

With this being my final look at the Class of ‘25 I wanted to discuss my favorite signees. It's very difficult to only mention a few of these players because I truly am a fan of them all. However, these are six players that I circled back to for this report.

Division I

[player_tooltip player_id='570157' first='Kyle' last='Keya'] - Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Air Force Academy)

We begin with Keya of Kapaun Mt. Carmel. I would like to personally thank Keya in advance for his service, as he's not only continuing his playing career, but he's also attending the United States Air Force Academy. He's an edge rusher with a lot of potential, and he'll have a great opportunity to grow in many aspects at Air Force.

Division II

[player_tooltip player_id='198040' first='Will' last='Morgan'] - Blue Valley SW (Fort Hays State)

Had the opportunity to see Morgan play early in his career and he's been a prospect I've kept my eye on since. He developed into one of the better interior offensive linemen in the class, and he established himself as a key leader for BVSW. Morgan is the type of player that can help build the culture for Fort Hays State.

[player_tooltip player_id='570213' first='Brody' last='Weir'] - Wellington (Fort Hays State)

Joining Morgan at Fort Hays is Weir of Wellington. Weir was one of the first prospects in this class to make an impact at the varsity level early on. I remember initially discovering him after his sophomore season in 2022, and I had a strong feeling he'd go on to play at the collegiate level. Don't be surprised if you see him receiving early playing time for the Tigers.

[player_tooltip player_id='442344' first='Jayden' last='Lang'] - De Soto (Central Missouri)

This next prospect is one of the most underrated athletes in the class. Lang is another prospect that I had the privilege of seeing in action during the 2022 season, and I was immediately impressed with his game. His all-around play and explosiveness makes him a very valuable asset for Central Missouri. I'm interested to see how his collegiate career plays out.

JUCO

[player_tooltip player_id='1566644' first='Johnathan' last='Bandy'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1405174' first='Mekhi' last='Neely'] - Sumner Academy

As a former Kansas City, KS resident I was very happy to see these two prospects get a chance to play at the collegiate level. Sumner Academy standouts Bandy and Neely will be betting on themselves at the JUCO level. Bandy will play defensive back at Garden City Community College, and Neely will be playing receiver at Highland Community College. The Sumner teammates may even get the chance to line up against each other at the next level.
