FLORENCE | It's not easy to overlook South Florence's [player_tooltip player_id='1592650' first='Ethan' last='Cash'] in action.

The 6-foot 6, 320-pound offensive tackle's physique already gives him a commanding presence on the field. Once in action, it's easy to see why Cash should receive his fare of attention from the Class of 2026.

Sunday's Carolinas Coaching Combine at West Florence allowed 150-plus participants to both improve and prove their junior senior standing. Cash did not disappoint, especially during competitive drills where he was an immovable force facing very talented defensive linemen.

“Iron sharpens iron,” he said. “It really does. Working with some of the best guys in the state really helps out.”

The two-time state champion credited the coaches working at the combine with helping to fine-tune his blocking skills. This also gave him an opportunity to even decrease his time in the 40-yard dash.

Cash was not the only player outside the award winners who stood out Sunday among the rising juniors:

[player_tooltip player_id='816750' first='Kaleb' last='Berry'] TE, Gray Collegiate

It was truly a “Gray” day and not just from a weather standpoint. Teammates quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='232668' first='Tyler' last='Waller'] (Leadership) and wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='205787' first='Hiszari' last='Gantt'] (pro shuffle and broad jump) came away with awards. The 5-foot 11, 200-pound rising junior impressed in other ways. He scored consistently high in the combine drills and displayed solid pass-catching skills during the individual and competitive exercises. Expect he and the War Eagles to have a potent offense next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1656657' first='Joseph' last='Braveboy'] OL, Ridge View

Head coach Derek Howard has a physically imposing group upfront this fall. Playing alongside fellow 6-foot 1, 315-pound [player_tooltip player_id='1719469' first='Jordan' last='Senior'], Braveboy's long reach, size, and quick mobility makes them a formidable pair. His lateral movement allows him to create open lanes for the running backs and quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='840548' first='Tre' last='Howard'].

[player_tooltip player_id='1592244' first='Brandon' last='Mack'] RB, AC Flora

The 5-foot 8, 187-pound rising senior rushed for 976 yards and eight touchdowns last year. He also caught 13 passes for 157 yards and two scores. Both skills were evident Sunday as Mack showed his versatility and steady footwork during individual drills. His running should help further open up the offense for quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1025784' first='Roper' last='Wentzky'] next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592473' first='Kylif' last='Miller'] RB, Hartsville

The Red Foxes will look towards the 5-foot 9, 175-pound rising senior to replace former All-State running back Hakeem Waters. He provides glimpses of potential during the regular season. Miller showed an ability to find open holes quickly and use his speed to break open for big runs. He also is reliable as an option catching the football out of the backfield.

Damarea Thurmond DL, Loris

The 6-foot 3, 311-pound rising senior was one of the biggest defensive lineman at the camp. He was also one of the most active as he was persistent in batting against other quality offensive lineman. A defensive end for the Region V-3A champion Lions, Thurmond helped the team hold teams to 12.3 points a contest last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1429140' first='Christian' last='Royals'], QB, Socastee

The 5-foot 11, 173-pound rising junior accounted for close to 1,200 total yards and 12 touchdowns for the Braves. He possesses a quick release on short routes and lofts an accurate deep pass. He also shows enough mobility to keep opposing defenses on their heels.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820942' first='Jashonte' last='Copley'] LB, Conway

At 5-foot 10 and 197 lbs., the rising senior moves swiftly and relentlessly on the field. Whether it's defending a short pass or tracking down a ball carrier, Copley is always on the go. From the outside linebacker position, he keeps his eyes on the football at all times.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165163' first='Zamaurious' last='Robertson'] WR, Dillon

The 6-foot, 169-pound rising senior possesses a 34-inch leap. He demonstrates more than enough foot speed to allow the Wildcats to stretch the field. He accounted for half of Dillon's receptions (59) and receiving touchdowns (nine) last season. Even when closely defended during competitive drills, Robertson came away with the football.

[player_tooltip player_id='1738835' first='Zack' last='Page'] OL, Latta
