[player_tooltip player_id='1205218' first='Miles' last='Hollon'] had a strong first season as a high school quarterback. He completed 115/190 passes for 1,949 yards, 21 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 12 games. Hollon has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. He also has shown impressive accuracy, hitting his receivers out of their breaks where they can make catches in stride. Miles also scored one rushing touchdown as a freshman. Hollon should definitely be a quarterback to keep an eye on over the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056924' first='Knox' last='Barrett'] is another quarterback who impressed in his first year as a high school starter. Barrett completed 80/124 passes for 1,272 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 11 games. He does a great job of going through his progressions to find the open receiver then using his accuracy to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Barrett also has the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He also finished his freshman year with one rushing touchdown. Knox should be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604542' first='William' last='Shoptaw'] played in a backup role as a freshman but was very impressive when on the field, completing 18/43 passes for 213 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games. Shoptaw puts a ton of zip on his passes, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also has a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Shoptaw will be an intriguing quarterback to watch as he likely moves into the starting quarterback role for Hazard this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='337864' first='Will' last='Adams'] is another backup quarterback who impressed when on the field this past season. As a freshman, Adams completed 23/44 passes for 356 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions. He has a cannon for an arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Adams has also shown impressive ball placement, putting the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also finished last season with 27 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown, caught four passes for 49 yards, and made an impact on defense as a defensive back, finishing the season with 35 tackles and one tackle for loss. Adams should definitely be a player to keep an eye on over the next few seasons.

To wrap up our top five quarterbacks in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1190755' first='Xavier' last='Isable']. Isable played in a backup role as a freshman but he has stood out when breaking down his film and watch him in person at camps. Xavier has impressive accuracy, showing the ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly and hit his receivers out of their breaks in stride. He has also shown the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Isable should be a quarterback to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.
