You Are Athlete Regional Exposure Camp: Standout O-Lineman

<p>We would like to continue highlighting some of the standout athletes from the You Are Athlete Regional Exposure Camp last weekend in the Valley. The big men in the trenches were dominant at this showcase throughout the day, especially in the final 1v1 competition, and we would like to show them the recognition they deserve. We will now take a look at some of the standout offensive linemen from the camp last Saturday.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">2026 Offensive Lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1369439' first='Malachi' last='Joyner'] was the most impressive tackle at the showcase last Saturday. Standing at an immense 6'4 275 lbs, he is not only big but highly athletic for an offensive lineman. He has a quick first step that allows him to get into his set effectively. He has powerful hands that can knock rushers off balance and disrupt their timing on moves. He is also not afraid of burying rushers in the dirt, throwing them in the ground and finishing them off with a pancake. His stature is already ideal at 6'4 300lbs, and he is only heading into his junior year. His big frame allows him to be an excellent anchor at the tackle position, able to sit down in his set and neutralize rushers. It's all over when he gets his hands on a rusher, as he will stand them up and completely take them out of the play. He is solidly agile for his size, displaying some burst and change of direction that allows him to position himself for the block. At an excellent 6'1 290lbs, his broad frame poses problems for interior rushers. He clearly demonstrated his versatility on the line, as he played both the center and the guard positions at the camp. His use of hands is impeccable, instantly firing into the defenders after the snap and standing up rushers at the point of attack. He is an aggressor, always looking for the opportunity to finish off his opponent and keep the pocket clean for his quarterback. Standing at a tremendous frame of 6'4 315lbs, he has all the tools to play the tackle position at a high level. He has a nice kick set that he favors to get out of stance in a quick manner. His agility for his size is outstanding, able to keep his feet moving and ride outside rushers around the arc to keep a clean pocket. When he gets his hands on his opponent's chest, he is great about getting push at the point of attack to drive defenders. Already at 6'1 230lbs as a player heading into his sophomore year, he already has skills at the center position that could be electrifying as he continues his high school career. He has sound explosiveness and change of direction that you like to see out of the center position. He has good reactionary athleticism and recovery speed to catch up with interior rushers that come his way. His strength for his size is definitely there, as he is not afraid of taking on anybody up the middle. Standing at 6'1 220lbs, he showed he has what it takes to play the guard position well. He has lively feet and can move fluidly as he gets into his drop set. He has great technique with his hands and shocking strength that can stand up rushers that come into his vicinity. He has the ability to anchor down and settle in with his lower body to prevent rushers from overpowering him.
