Southwest Missouri 2025 Watch List

Regardless of the position, the southwest region of Missouri had plenty to offer in terms of athletic prowess. It seems like every game you attend multiple athletes catch your attention. When the Friday night lights turn on in this region of the Show Me State, expect to be impressed.   These six young men proved that they deserved to be a part of the conversation of some of the top football players in Missouri.    Landon Harper is the definition of a "Mauler" for the Tigers.   Harper's strength is in the run game, he blasts off the snap and keeps his feet chopping creating huge holes at his right tackle position. With his size, he can play anywhere on the offensive line. He has amazing upper-body strength, and he showcased that by earning second-team all-state honors for Missouri class 5.   Keep a close eye on this young man this coming up 2025 season.      It's not hard to find "Big" [player_tooltip player_id='1585598' first='Trevor' last='Christman'].   You read the measurements correctly listed to the left. Standing at a mammoth 6'7 300 pounds Chistman is an absolute unit at left tackle. He knows how to use his frame to completely bully defensive lineman on a regular basis. He has some of the best footwork in this class, he's a true "dancing bear' he has a smooth kick step technique in his pass protection that makes it extremely difficult for defensive ends to beat. On top of being a great football player, he's sharp in the classroom as well boasting a 4.4 GPA.   He's just scraping the surface of his potential, expect a huge 2025 season.      Brodie Probert is a "Swiss army knife" for the Seneca Indians.   Being labeled as an athlete and not having a true position usually has a stigma of being good at multiple things but the master of none. Brodie Probert is the exception to this rule, wherever he lines up, whether it's Wr/Qb/Rb/Db, he will produce. Seneca had one heck of a team in 2024, and Probert was one reasons why they had so much success. He was electric with the ball in his hands and a phenomenal Defensive back on defense. It doesn't matter what position you prefer this young man to play, he's going to make plays for his football team no doubt about it.      "Route running technician" Parker Tune is special posting 12 receiving TD's last year.   "Smooth" is the first word that comes to mind when you watch Parker Tune go to work. He lines up at outside receiver, slot, and in the backfield, but I love to see him run routes out there. He has amazing start and stop capabilities; he's lightning-quick on his breaks, not to mention his YAC capabilities.   Mountain View made it clear that they wanted to get the ball in Tune's hands. Expect the same in 2025.      Kane Clark posted a whopping 11.5 sacks in 2024   Hand on the ground and rushing the quarterback statistically Clark was the best in the southwest Missouri region. He caused high school offensive coordinators to lose sleep Thursday nights all year long. Still the "underrated" prospect Clark has the absolute tenacity you look for in a defensive end. He's quick off the ball and plays with pretty good technique in the running game. He sets the edge in dominating fashion; he's just a pain for offensive lineman.   Clark's senior season is approaching and he's even more hungry.       Washington is almost a man amongst boys on the gridiron with 107 Total tackles. He's a physically opposing unit in the tackling box; he has the uncanny ability to drop his hips and produce a lot of power in his lower body to deliver a "pop" to ball carriers. He's also a pretty fluid athlete; he drops into coverage well once he finds his window, he can read the quarterback's eyes and make a play on the ball. You can tell by how he plays football that he's also an outstanding wrestler and knows how to use his leverage.   Glendale had a down year last year, but expect Washington to help the Falcons to a better year in 2025.
