Recruiting Spotlight- 2026 DBs Picking Up Offers Recently

Our state's 2026 class is filled to the brim with talent- today, we are looking at some of the DBs who have been getting attention in the recruiting world! Be sure to watch these guys' film below- they've got tons of potential!    [player_tooltip player_id='1059898' first='Mykale' last='Hrabowski'] is a highly versatile DB out of Minor who has lined up and produced at CB, FS, and SS over the last few seasons, creating huge stops no matter where he was on the field. At 6'3 180, Hrabowski has elite size that helps him win matchups all over the field. Hrabowski is a tough DB to throw against- his size, speed, and arm length allow him to fly around the field and make plays on the ball that other DBs just wouldn't be able to make. Hrabowski has great ball skills- he plays with great concentration, timing, and instincts that allow him to fly in and break up/pick off passes. One thing that really impressed me with Hrabowski's tape was his ability to produce wherever he lined up- he can play press man at outside CB, play deep downfield, and make plays as a rangy FS, and overall is a huge threat to opposing passing attacks with how good he is in coverage. Hrabowski was really reliable last season, ending his year with 50 total tackles, 3 INTs, one FF, and two blocked punts. With how well he played last fall Hrabowski has seen his recruitment open up a ton, he's picked up offers from Eastern Kentucky and North Alabama with more surely on the way soon. Check out his tape below, he's a talented prospect who thrives off his versatility in the secondary.      [player_tooltip player_id='1622130' first='Brandon' last='McGhee'] is a lockdown DB out of Auburn who was a huge piece of their defense last season, providing great coverage and run support against some talented 7A offenses last fall. McGhee is one of the most impressive zone coverage CBs I've watched in a while-he's rarely beaten over the top, is quick to adjust, sometimes covering multiple targets on a single play, and does a great job using his eyes to track the ball, coming away with some incredible PBUs and INTs. McGhee is also incredibly talented as a run defender- he flies downfield from the secondary to wrap up and deliver some huge hits to the ball carrier, never allowing for any big gains to the outside. McGhee is a really well-rounded CB with plenty to build off of going into next season, it was seriously impressive watching his tape from last fall. McGhee put together a great season, ending his junior year with 41 total tackles (24 solo), and 3 INTs. McGhee has seen his recruitment open up a ton this offseason, picking up offers from North Alabama and Gardner Webb over the past few weeks. Be sure to watch McGhee's film below and this next season, he's a talented DB who deserves more eyes.      [player_tooltip player_id='1622128' first='Will' last='Phillips'] is a really talented prospect out of Hewitt Trussville who has made tons of plays for his team on offense, defense, and special teams, but has especially made his mark at safety. At 6'3 180, Phillips has great size at S and consistently provides blanket coverage on smaller targets downfield. Phillips plays with great concentration and instincts and is excellent at getting his hands on the ball, frequently flying in to break up passes and making some incredible interceptions off of tipped balls. Phillips is just as reliable in run defense- he's highly athletic and has great pursuit, can fight off blocks, and makes some impressive tackles on the ball carrier down near the line of scrimmage. On offense and special teams, Phillips is terrific at utilizing his speed to create explosive plays, frequently finding the endzone and putting his team in great starting field position. Last fall Phillips made plays all over the field, ending his season with 52 total tackles (32 solo), one sack, and 3 PBUs, with 5 receptions for 51 yards and 3 TDs on offense. Phillips picked up an offer from UT Martin earlier this week and lists others from Troy and Austin Peay. [player_tooltip player_id='1622124' first='Ty' last='Sims'] has been incredibly productive for Gadsden City's defense the last few seasons, providing great coverage over the top and defending against some talented passing attacks across the state. Sims is highly athletic and does a great job utilizing his speed, acceleration, and hands at safety. Frequently on tape Sims makes jaw-dropping sideline-to-sideline plays against the run and pass, coming away with huge game-changing INTs and hits all around the field. It's really impressive seeing how quickly Sims can cover the field, he moves around effortlessly and can cover some talented WRs deep downfield. While Sims is great in coverage, he seriously impressed me with his run defense- he is a heat-seeking missile from the secondary who is excellent at finding, pursuing, and taking down the ball carrier no matter where he lined up pre-snap. Sims played really well last season, ending his year with 31 total tackles (20 solo, one for loss). Sims picked up an offer from North Alabama yesterday and is sure to have more head his way soon. Be sure to watch Sims' film below, he's a dominant player with plenty to offer at the next level.      [player_tooltip player_id='1622120' first='Alandias' last='Thomas'] is a dominant safety out of Ramsay who has made tons of plays out in the secondary over the last few seasons. Thomas is a DB opposing offenses have to circle leading up to games- he completely shut down his side of the field in coverage while also having the ability to create game-changing turnovers/scoring plays within a moment's notice. Thomas is excellent at identifying plays pre-snap, consistently flying downfield and putting himself in great position to come up with huge stops against the run. Something that really impressed me with Thomas' tape was his ability to produce as a single high safety- his defense trusts him over the top and it is easy to understand why, he is excellent at reading opposing QB's eyes, flies to the ball, and is a constant threat to break up and pick off passes everywhere on the field. Thomas was super productive for Ramsay last fall, ending his junior season with 30 total tackles (3 for loss), 8 PBUs, and 3 INTs (one returned for a TD). Thomas just picked up his first offer from Kennesaw State yesterday and it certainly won't be his last. Watch his film below and you'll see why, he's got tons of talent!
