Recruiting Report- Big Offers Across the State This Week

Over the past week, we've seen some of our state's prospects pick up huge offers- these guys have been on fire on the recruiting trail!   Be sure to check out their film below, they put together some dominant seasons last fall and are set up for huge senior seasons later this year!    Corey Barber is one of our top WRs and players in our 2026 Rankings, what he did last fall for Spain Park was incredible and we can't wait to see what's next. Barber is highly athletic and plays with a ton of speed and quickness out wide, he flies downfield, gets terrific separation, and constantly finds ways to get open everywhere on the field. Barber is a physical matchup nightmare for DBs- he makes impressive grabs using his size, catch radius, and body control, it's really impressive watching how he positions himself to haul in passes. After the catch- good luck stopping Barber, he is a problem and can shake off tackles and create huge plays downfield off of shorter passes. Barber was incredible last fall for Spain Park's passing attack- ending his junior season with 74 receptions for 1429 yards and 18 touchdowns. Barber just picked up a huge offer from Alabama this week- it was only a matter of time, he's unbelievably talented and has become a national recruit over the past few months for good reason. Be sure to check out his tape below, he was terrific last fall and is set up for a huge year with Spain Park this upcoming season.      [player_tooltip player_id='1371428' first='Zion' last='Crumpton'] is a really talented WR out of Carver who had a breakout season in their offense last fall, he made plays against some of the state's top secondaries all year long and has made a name for himself in the recruiting world throughout the process. Crumpton is a talented route runner capable of gaining great separation at every level of the field- he's such a reliable target in his offense, consistently getting open against some tougher secondaries and hauling in some huge catches throughout the year. Crumpton has a terrific set of hands he uses to bring in passes over the shoulder, downfield, and through contact/heavy coverage. After the catch, Crumpton has breakaway speed and great change of direction he uses to make massive plays in the open field- it's really difficult for defenders to track and try to stop him once he's got the ball in his hands, he's terrific at making men miss and works to gain every possible yard each catch. Crumpton produced all season long for Carver- ending his year with 27 receptions for 413 yards and 3 touchdowns. Crumpton has seen his recruitment take off this offseason and just picked up an offer from Pittsburgh this week. Be sure to watch out for Crumpton moving forward, he put together some great tape and will keep picking up more offers this year-just watch!      [player_tooltip player_id='1337985' first='Dylan' last='Purter'] is a really gifted DB out of Booker T Washington who has seen his recruitment open up a ton this offseason, and rightfully so- he was unstoppable for his team's secondary last fall. Purter plays with a ton of speed and instincts and flies to the ball nearly every snap. It's super impressive watching Purter's ability to read and react to plays, he is excellent at making sideline-to-sideline plays, constantly putting himself in great position to make plays on the ball. Purter is terrific in coverage, he provides a ton of security over the top of his defense and does a terrific job tracking and getting his hands on the ball, coming away with some huge INTs/PBUs all over the field. Purter is just as good at making plays in the backfield against the run and as a blitzer- he uses his speed to fly downhill from the secondary and deliver some huge hits to opposing QBs and RBs. Purter was terrific last year- ending his junior season with 97 total tackles (3 for loss), 3 sacks, 2 INTs, and 7 PBUs. Purter has seen his recruitment take off this month, picking up offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and Florida over the past two weeks. It's going to be exciting watching him play this fall, he's an extremely talented prospect and has already put together some great film you can watch below.      [player_tooltip player_id='1622368' first='Devin' last='Pettaway'] is a dominant LB out of Mary Montgomery who made tons of plays against the run and pass for his defense last season. Pettaway is dominant at EDGE and completely dominates the line of scrimmage- he plays with impressive speed, bend, and power that completely overwhelms OTs and helps him get into the backfield to make plays. Against the run, Pettaway does an excellent job setting the edge and fighting off multiple blockers to get his hands on the ball carrier- he plays with a ton of intensity and does everything he can to close in and stop the run. Pettway is just as dominant against the pass- he's a productive pass rusher who generates tons of pressure and can also make some huge plays off-ball out in coverage. I'm seriously impressed with Pettaway's film, and think that a lot of teams will be reaching out soon- he's highly versatile and can hurt offenses in a lot of ways. Pettaway had a huge season last fall- ending his junior year with 81 total tackles (51 solo, 9 for loss) 3 FF, 2 INTs, 8 PBUs, 5 hurries, and one sack. Pettaway just picked up an offer from South Alabama, and you can bet plenty more schools will send them his way soon. Check out his tape below, he has tons of potential and deserves more eyes!      [player_tooltip player_id='1622371' first='Johnny' last='Moody'] is a talented DB out of Parker who has provided lockdown coverage against some of the state's best WRs over the last few seasons. Moody is highly versatile and can line up and provide great coverage outside and deep downfield against some talented WRs. Moody is great at playing both press man and zone- he can jam and wear down WRs at the LOS while also covering tons of ground and sometimes multiple targets in zone. Moody is also a great run defender- he flies downfield and fills in rushing lanes to create huge stops near the line of scrimmage, making life harder for offenses in every way he can. Moody was really productive for Parker this fall, ending his junior season with 17 total tackles (13 solo), and multiple PBUs/INTs. Moody has been a huge piece of Parker's secondary the last few years, leading to him picking up several offers along the way- just this past week Troy and Eastern Kentucky reached out, and with the film he's put together, he's sure to add more to his list soon.
