After receiving tons of offers over the last few months, Purter narrowed his decision and committed to LSU last week!

It will be exciting watching Purter play out his final season this fall, and on at the next level- I have a feeling he will be the next great out of DBU.

Purter plays with a ton of speed and instincts and flies to the ball nearly every snap. It’s super impressive watching Purter’s ability to read and react to plays, he is excellent at making sideline-to-sideline plays, constantly putting himself in great position to make plays on the ball. Purter is terrific in coverage, he provides a ton of security over the top of his defense and does a terrific job tracking and getting his hands on the ball, coming away with some huge INTs/PBUs all over the field. Purter is just as good at making plays in the backfield against the run and as a blitzer- he uses his speed to fly downhill from the secondary and deliver some huge hits to opposing QBs and RBs. Purter was terrific last year- ending his junior season with 97 total tackles (3 for loss), 3 sacks, 2 INTs, and 7 PBUs. Purter has seen his recruitment take off this month, picking up offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and Florida over the past two weeks. It’s going to be exciting watching him play this fall, he’s an extremely talented prospect and has already put together some great film you can watch below.

Washington that has quickly become one of the top DBs in the state’s 2026 class. Standing at 6’2 175, Purter has great size at the position that allows him to play with a ton of physicality. Purter plays some seriously tough-to-beat coverage at every level of the field- he uses his size, speed, and hands to frequently blanket over receivers, bait quarterbacks, and break up passes. In addition to his abilities out in coverage, Purter has the ability to make some plays against the run as well. He does a great job tracking the ball carrier and utilizes his speed to cross the field and rack up tackles. Last fall, Purter had himself a really sophomore season where he totaled up 51 total tackles (5 for loss), 4 pass breakups, 4 fumble recoveries. With that kind of play and production, Purter has become a rising star throughout the state. He’s picked up offers from Troy, Missouri, and Auburn all within the last few weeks!
