Now with two years under his belt, he has improved immensely. He led all Freshmen with 5 sacks in 2024 and added 46 tackles (7 for loss). At 6'4, Brayden has a long wingspan which helps him shed blocks and gain separation from opposing linemen. Scott finished strong with almost 600 yards passing and 6 TDs. But Dontre is a remarkable athlete with a wide variety of attributes. He finished his first full season on varsity with 38 tackles, 3 sacks and a forced fumble.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Players to Watch in 2025</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There were several other players this season that did not have the impact that was foreseen but I expect many of them to reach their potential in 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With several students graduating from Bennett this season, players such as shutdown CB, [player_tooltip player_id='1354320' first='Malik' last='Worthy'] will be looking to make an impact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Lockport, with the way Stowe played, his job may be safe. But 2023 starter, [player_tooltip player_id='806839' first='Graham' last='Schultz'] may be looking to take back the reins. Playmaking Safety [player_tooltip player_id='1743162' first='Noah' last='Bohlman'] has 5 INTs in the last two seasons and should bounce back as a senior. Another player I thought would breakout was LB [player_tooltip player_id='1743112' first='Patrick' last='Luke']. He is a solid prospect that did not play in 2024 but will be a name to look for.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Injuries hit the Orchard Park OL hard this season and as a result, starting RG [player_tooltip player_id='806710' first='Gavin' last='McWhirter'] was only able to play two games. I would look for him to bounce back and have a monster senior year. Last season, [player_tooltip player_id='814985' first='Jherek' last='Breske'] - who was a bit of a swiss army knife - was an All-State selection but this year, he did not get on the field. We'll see if he bounces back as a senior. Finally, the Quakers' top signal caller is off to Courtland leaving the stage set for Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='939439' first='Jayden' last='Hassett'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
