DMV off-season live evaluations: Part 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During the next several months, I will conduct live evaluations of prospects from the DMV area, which I can see in person. The evaluations will be conducted in both camp and 7v7 settings. He was able to get inside leverage against press coverage in multiple matchups.  During one rep, he was able to get open on a corner route due to the defensive back's slow transition. I thought he had decent coverage on short routes. Azad's close coverage against a 5-yard route during one rep resulted in an incompletion. He had a tough time against receivers who executed double moves and fakes in the reps he lost. During one rep, he attempted an out-and-up route, which showed that he was willing to try at least to go deep against a defensive back. He could avoid a jam in one rep and create some separation on a go route. I thought he showed some speed on a deep route he ran. Ruffin got past the defensive back, who was slow to transition. There were a couple of reps where the defensive back could disrupt his route with physical play. During one rep, he showed his ability to recognize a route and show solid trail technique coverage. The receiver ran a dig route, which Jenkins recognized early. He trailed the receiver effectively, which led to an incompletion. Even when the receivers caught a couple of short passes, he could stay close to the receiver. Jenkins did allow the receivers to get an inside release on a couple of reps.
